[Spoiler Free] If you reading this title then you should already be familiar with the classic fantasy genre where the mc comes from a hard background and grows to become something better. There's a lot of variation on the theme but often what's overlooked is getting the core ingredients right. "Boy Having Useless Skill Mapping" isn't revolutionary but it is (so far) a satisfying adventure that hits the right notes.

Whether it's being transported to a new world, good or evil, harem or otherwise.. what's really important is the characters are interesting with logical motivations, the world sufficiently 'fantasy', the comedy well-balanced and the plot progression ...

It started with an interesting premise. But the lore was really poorly explained - it said in chapter 1 that a character could never obtain new skills, but by chapter 4 the main character is being told to go obtain new skills. It really put me off reading any further.

The art style was nice

The background of the main character and his friend could've been explored more - it feels like a lot happened and almost no details are given, i understand that it might be explained later in the story, but it gave the impression it would never be covered

Doesn't get any more boring than this. No story at all. It's light fantasy about nothing. You follow around some forgettable characters as they buy bread and talk about dungeons. It's very casual with no chance of anyone getting hurt. It's silly but has no comedy. It has some stock action but there isn't any buildup or suspense at all. There is really nothing clever about his "mapping" skill. In fact, it seems like an after thought from the author. There's a ton of interesting stuff they could have done with mapping, but apparently playing volleyball at the beach is the main priority of this ...
