Beginning was very good

Good characters, everyone with strong morals and ideas. Father was executioner and stern, but deep down he did feel sad for killing. Grandmother trash lol, but still she followed her ideology through and her decisions were quite impressive. Marie was brilliant. She was stubborn, had a strong mind and ultimately only wanted freedom. Throughout the story she was faced with problems, which she dealt with either by her will or her smart brain. And she wasn't a shitty edgy brat [though she was pretty impulsive] :clap:

Then comes Charles Henri Sanson, the character that fell rapidly. As a child, his hate for his family name was understandable. Being treated like shit just because of his family occupation. In his own way, he suffered from the system of status. The major flaw about him was his unexplained change. Throughout the story he does several things that just don’t make sense. Why did he suddenly change into a copy of his father? Why did he forget his own dream? 2 apparent factors are family [direct] and lust. But they still don’t justify why Charles tried to cut Marie’s wings, who he supported so dearly.

It could've been a solid 8-9, solid art, interesting concept. If only the storytelling was clearer, it couldve been better.

As said many times, innocent is truly a "wasted potential"

The latter half was pretty good. Infact in the end, was satisfied with all the characters. The emotions were very vivid, and the impactful moments did inpact. Still there ae things i do not understand, like why everyone wants to kiss each other, why zero was conceived and the change of charles henri. Despite that, i really liked the ending. One truly does feel bad for the royal couple, who were rather innocent.

The Mc and family portrayed as birds without wings cause they all once had dreams but now they have been destroyed. As for why punpun doesn't have them, idk

The themes of belief, dreams and path to happiness are very strong.

I have observed that whenever a character has some strong belief they are conservative about, they start getting the big dot eyes. Like when punpun's badminton friend changed.

Lot has happened. The backstories of the main cast was depicted vividly. The uncle has a guilty past, and he was surviving on his own guilt. When this confusion of his is removed, he goes through existential crisis. And then bonds with midori :blush;. But mf cheats again :suffering:. Though he loves punpun dearly

Mom is epic. Introduced as a careless character, who didnt want her son because he restricted her freedom. But as she is explored more and more, I can but pity her life and admire her future ambitions. Throughout her life, she wanted happiness, freedom. But later she realised that travelling all around the world was not her being free, but running from her own troubles. We also come to know, that she still harboured feelings for her ex husband, and that she thought of her husband

art is pretty good. The cover was what made me read it lol

Starting was really good, this 32 yr old dude who has gave up on his dreams is now working as a disposer of kaiju remains. The starting arc, from the 1ch to the beginning of the test arc is the part that i enjoyed a lot. Characters were much more unique. And the blood rain panel was quite stunning. Plus the interaction with the little girl as a kaiju was cute.

After that I think it just turned into a very generic idk. It feels a lot like fire force, MHA. MC has a very strong desire of achieving his dream, and so he works hard for it. Infact his character traits also turn to very generic shounen MC traits. Cheerful, impulsive, weaker than everyone. Dont like the change.

One appreciable thing is that MC doesnt use his kaiju powers to cheat, and uses his own human strength to compete in the exams. Thats respectable.

Iharu is a rather interesting character. He felt like bakugou, but no. Seeing a normal personal like ichikawa make faster strides than him, someone who was always on the top, makes him doubt himself, feel shit. He holds himself accountable. The thing i like is that instead of not taking the help of his rivals, he co operates when needed. A lot more mature form. Good. Also he looks like marie

Shinomiya is also quite cool. Her panel of lifting the car was very cool. At first, she came off as the generic bratty privileged girl. But she is better :clap:
She seeks perfection, to not let down his father. Someone who has always been on the top, she wants to make her father appreciate her success. But her father doesnt [booooooooo]
