Intense, action-packed battles and starry eyed romance. 

Both series have incredibly well thought out battles of wit and characters have unique personalities with amazing development. I would say the closest manga to JoJo is the pokemon adventures manga. 

both focus on monster on monster dueling,friendship,stopping bad guys,occasional dark shit as well as lots of nice art and character designs to look at. 

> Both mangas have separate parts with each having an unique atmosphere and a different protagonist, all the while the previous part characters can appear as supporting characters > Both mangas have humans who makes a different entity do their battles. In jojo its stands & in pocket monsters its pokemon (exception- jojo 1 & 2) 

This recomendation is strange, I know, but both JoJo's and pokemon share some similarities. Both are long running shounen manga, that can be separated in parts. Each part happens to be an adventure, in another place with another main character, but the universe is the same and previous main characters are always showing up again. Also, fights are somewhat "indirectly", with pokemon and Stands. Universe in both series are in constant expansion and they haven't finished yet. 

These series have compelling plots and intriguing characters. If you like righteous teen heroes and intense, epic battles, check this out! 

PokeSpe and Xros Wars manga have intense battles, fierce action scenes, good art and a bit of fanservice. If you are fan of both series (anime or games), these two are worth checking out  

Both feature a boy going on an adventure with one more monsters where they have to gradually battle stronger and more sinister forces to save their friends and the area theyre in. Both also feature powerful rivals, and both also have nods to their games and anime version. For the record, most fans agree the Pokemon Special manga is vastly superior to the anime by the way. And personally, I think the Digimon manga is on par with the first season anime in its own way. Anyway, the last similarity is the Pokemon and Digimon monster universes and the evolution and partner stories together. 

Both with very nice n intense fighting(action) and a well planned story plot. The suspense keeps reader reading it and the character is simply just cool~ :) 

Digimon and Pokémon have a lot of recommendations, and most people say they're exactly the same, well they ain't, but one can be recommended once you've seen/read the other. The same in this case. Digimon Next happens in the near future, where like usual, some youngsters get in the Digital World by accident, they get a partner, a Digimon and get in all kinds of trouble and adventures with them. This is basically the same as in Pokémon, they get a partner(s) and get in the same kind of trouble and adventures. In both manga's the lead characters have to cross the land/world for they're goal, the art almost similar in this case, although I enjoyed myself more with the Digimon manga, the Pokémon manga can be enjoyed too. Both look-a-like in most cases, they just play off in different times. But I can defintly recommend the one if you read the other.  read more
