Background

A licensed manga series about the Marvel superhero Moon Knight written by Gosaku Ota and published in Televi-Kun magazine from 1979 to 1980. The plot reinterprets the character for a Japanese audience, changing his origins and powers, with the costume and alter ego being the only similarities with the American original. The manga was conceived as promotional material for Toei's tokusatsu TV series; although the series was canceled, the manga ran for 12 chapters. It has never been republished and is considered lost media, although issues of the magazine can be found in Japanese libraries.
