Shichiseiken to Maken no Hime began as a web novel on Shousetsuka ni Narou under the title "Youtou de Tachikiru Mahou Gakuin: Sennen no Toki wo Koeshi Saikyou no Kenshi to Norowareta Seioujo wa, Sekai ni Hangyaku" (妖刀で断ち切る魔法学院〜千年の時を超えし最強の剣士と呪われた聖王女は、世界に反逆する〜) on July 4, 2020. Kodansha has released a revised and illustrated version of the series since January 5, 2022 under its Kodansha Ranobe Bunko label.
