| Hayato emerged from the shadows. How long had he slumbered...a decade? A century? A millenieum? It did not matter. He emerged upon the ruins of his former kingdom. Crumbled now to near dust by the sharp cut of time. He gazed upon the vast empty, dead island. No motion. Not even plant life...but then, given his last conflict here, he could hardly have expected different. Turning his eyes towards the sky, he stared darkly at the sun: bright, hot, and dry. Cracking his neck, he produced his wings under his cloak, and took to the sky. "Well then, let's see if indeed there are any of us left..." |
