| Grace nodded and took a handful of various pills. She grimaced as they went down and sighed. "Sometomes my PTSD will act up. I'm fine." |

| "That's good." Masaru said leaning back. He paused for a bit before asking. "Does it have anything to do with what you've been dreaming about?" |

| Grace sighed. "Yes, it is," she said sitting in a chair. |

| "Oh? Must've been something pretty fun if it got you to shoot the wall immediately after waking up." Rin said smirking. "Quit bothering her Rin Chi." Masaru said coldly. "Oh shut up. I don't understand why humans get so wussy when they talk about something sad. Shit happens, get over it." Rin said rolling his eyes. |

| "Told ya I was scared of something, Rin Chi," Grace said smirking. "Woof, woof." |

| "I'm going to guess that you won't share whatever it is with me?" Rin said chuckling. Masaru simply sighed, leaning back. |

| "If you were here to hear me talk in my sleep, you would've had a clue," Grace grinned. "Too bad." |

| "You do realize he's probably going to stalk you in your now." Masaru said sighing again. "Hm... Maybe I will, maybe I won't. Guess we'll see." Rin said smirking. |

| "Good, I'll have a target next time," Grace smiled. |

| Rin laughed at her. "You actually believe you can shoot me?" Rin chuckled. "Alright, go ahead and try. Let's see how that works out." Masaru just closed his eyes trying to block out their conversation. |

| "You misunderstand," Grace snickered. "I only need to shoot at you." |

| "You won't be so high and mighty when I figure out what you fear. After I do, I can make your life hell." Rin said chuckling. "I hope you realize that." |

| Grace ignored Rin Chi and curled up in the chair, making herself into a sort of half ball. |

| Masaru had fallen asleep on the couch, yet again. "Tch, what a bore." Rin said floating through the ceiling. |

| Grace dozed off but stirred a few hours later. |

| Masaru woke up and leaned forward, staring at his death note. "Why am I thinking about this now...? And here I thought I was numb to it." He said to himself, sighing. |

| "Someing wrong?" Grace asked as she stretched out like a cat. |

| "Nothing, it's stupid." Masaru said emotionlessly, leaning back again. "Have a better sleep this time?" |

| "I slept fine," Grace stretched a little more. "Doesn't sound like nothing though." |

| "Just something I thought I was over. Turns out I'm not." Masaru said yawning. "It's not that big of a deal." |

| "If you want to, you can tell me. Don't want another good detective to get PTSD," Grace said as she stood and started making lunch. |

| "It relates to when I used Rin Chi's death note. But I don't think I'll get PTSD." Masaru said calmly. "Once you experience enough of something, your body will eventually become numb to it." |

| "I thought so too," Grace said quietly. "I got PTSD from seeing so many Shinigami. Nine hundred in one year...I was ten." |

| "Well, I'm already pretty much desensitized." Masaru said sighing. "Death just doesn't affect anymore." |

| "Is quiche okay?" Grace asked as she stared at a recipie. |

| "Sure." Masaru said yawning again. He took his death note looking at all the names he wrote down. I should be completely numb to it... I always have been. What's the problem now? |

| Grace started cooking quietly and pulled up news reports in Japan. |

| Masaru set it down on the table and leaned back, closing his eyes trying to ignore it. I don't care about them... They got what they deserved. |

| The food took about two hours. Grace notified Masaru once it was finished. |

| "Thanks." Masaru said getting up and taking a slice of it. He then sat down at the table. |

| Grace say a few slices of raw bacon in two bowls n the ground. Cerberus started eating immediately. She cut a slice and sat on the opposite side of the table. |

| Masaru started eating silently."You're a good cook." He said calmly as Kage started to eat. |

| "I'm glad you think so," Grace smiled. "I've only cooked twice before." |

| "Really? Took me forever just to get the basics." Masaru said taking another bite of the quiche. |

| "It must be in my blood," Grave smiled. "My father said my mother was a phenomenal cook." |

| "I see." Masaru said emotionlessly. "If I inherited anything it must be bad luck." He said sighing and taking another bite. |

| "Oh?" Grace asked quietly. "Why is that." |

| "The most annoying stuff just happens to me, or around me." Masaru said shrugging and taking another bite. |

| "Some of that has recently been my fault," Grace smirked. |

| "Not as annoying as that gang war that Rin Chi started." Masaru said sighing. "I always knew there was a possibility of him killing me directly... Never thought indirectly though." |

| "Do you think he'll kill you?" Grace asked. |
Hey you! Yes you! Do you like: Dragon Ball? |
| "If he thinks it'll be fun. Then yes." Masaru said calmly. "He'll kill anyone if he thinks it'll be fun." |

| "Does that scare you?" Grace asked quietly. |

| "Not really. If I die, I die. It's that simple." Masaru said taking a sip of water. "I'm only human, it's bound happen eventually." |

| Grace sighed. "Don't you ever feel like you're not ready? Like you want a family and friends?" |

| "When is anyone ready?" Masaru asked calmly. "It doesn't matter if I'm ready or not. But, I'm not going to die until the Kira's do, at the very least." |

| Grace nodded. "Is that your only goal?" |

| "Counting this... I may have two at the most." Masaru said shrugging. "After that... I'm not sure. Not much else to do." |

| "Sure there is," Grace smirked. "You could adopt a kid...build a house...go to America." |

| "Ha Ha. Very funny Grace." Masaru said taking another sip of his water. "Though, I don't think I'd make a good parent. Why the hell would I want to build a house. And what the hells there in America?" |
