Was the dub really as bad as people said it was?

I think the voice cast fits the characters better than the Japanese version and the music for the dub was stellar. It's still not 4Kids' worst dub ever. (That right belongs to their attempt at One Piece.) And sure, it's definitely in need of a redub probably for its upcoming 20th anniversary next year, but the 4Kids dub might be on the same tier as Glitter Force, even if some people beg to differ about it. And yet still... both of them aren't even close to being the worst Shoujo dub! (That right belongs to Wedding Peach, in my opinion.) But is the 4Kids dub of Tokyo Mew Mew that bad? Or do you find it to be an underrated "so bad it's good" guilty pleasure? You decide!

It's been awhile since I watched the dub but from what I remember and what the internet says they almost completely changed the entire plot

It’s been a while and this could very well be a case of nostalgia but I don’t remember it being horrible. It just had some of the standard name changes. In my opinion, the only crime committed is not finishing the whole series.

I'm not american and I think all 4kids dubs are unfathomable garbage, doubly so the ones forced to the rest of the world (like Yugioh and Sonic X). Thankfully TMM avoided this fate for some countries, so I know what a good dub sounds like. I don't even like the japanese cast and acting but the 4kids one is 10 times worse
