Should i read the light novel from the start or should i continue from where the anime left of?

You can read from volume 6 (anime finishes at the end of volume 5), if you want, but you'll miss some informations. If you want those informations, you can start with Volume 3, otherwise volume 1.

It's not impossible to pick up the light novels from where the anime left off, but I would highly recommend you just start from the beginning.

Like the others said, the best choice would probably be to read from the beginning.
