[Technical] Get Anime/Manga list via API

As of right now it's not possible to get the data used when generating anime/manga lists via API. Also the request for the animelist/{username} returns the raw HTML for the page which makes it so that in order to retrieve the data you'd have to scrape the webpage for it.

So the suggestions is to expose an API call that let's you retrieve the data for a public anime list of a user.

I'm certain people into programming would find uses for such a feature (at lease I sure would!).

you can use this to get the data of an anime/manga list:
http://myanimelist.net/malappinfo.php?u="USERNAME"&status=all&type="TYPE"

example: http://myanimelist.net/malappinfo.php?u=matjuu&status=all&type=anime

If you have question about specific field that is not possible to get (like rewatches) - then you should've asked about it.

But if you failed to find existing MAL API... you shouldn't bother with programming.

It's not officially advertised, although can be easily found by googling - as well as unofficial API: http://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=1178695

Oh I don't think someone who can't even properly document an API should have the audacity to tell someone not to bother with programing ;)
