Alright, I realize that the first episode doesn't air on CR until Saturday, but I'm so excited that I couldn't help setting up this thread early. What can I say, I love Studio Shaft.

Episode 1 did not disappoint. It was a little confusing, but I'll be damned if I didn't enjoy it.

It really reminded a lot (visually mostly) of the Bakemonogatari series.

I enjoy the manga and such.. but for some reason, I think I just dislike SHAFT.
The camera, panning, and random shots don't add anything to the story to me.. and it's just plain distracting and growing to be an annoyance.

Which is sad.. I want to watch and enjoy a lot of their stuff.. namely the monogatari series.. I just can't deal with the nonsense. Nisekoi is the only thing I've been able to stick with.

Well you can't help if you can't stand the style. Its like when I tried watching flowers of evil, I could not take that rotoscope technique. But if you are able to stomach it, I'd recommend Bakemonogatari at the least, Eps 1-5 and 12 are probably my favorite individual series of episodes of all time. Plus since it seems like you are a Holo fan, and Bakemonogatari has probably three of the most likable teasing/abusive female leads ever devised.
