It gives me great joy to see other Aria fans around, but even more so over those who have feelings of affection towards Alice. It’s my most loved anime ever, and she’s my most beloved character in the whole world. Always will be. I cherish each Aria girl immensely, but from a place where perfection reigns she was the one who impacted me the most with the way she was presented towards the end of the story. It was an indescribable bliss to see her growing throughout the series and blossoming into a radiant, lovely flower. I’m the middle of rewatching Origination and I’m saving her final episode for a special occasion so I can enjoy the beauty to its full extent.
Already in the last episode I see. ;_; Once you immerse yourself into Aria’s world it becomes hard to not love its characters and atmosphere. Most people would chose to appreciate the series in a slow pace making it last for as long possible, but it’s understandable that some would feel tempted to marathon through it. I did that myself, though over a longer period of time than you. All I can say is that the withdrawal effect on me was devastating once I realized there’d be no more episodes to look forward to. Wish I could have made the voyage longer, but what’s done is done. Thankfully Aria feels as fresh as ever despite watching the show for a second time. I learned to appreciate Neo-Venezia, the other characters and the soundtrack even more while revisiting the anime. This moment in special felt even more emotional after experiencing a second time. Hope my embarrassing remarks didn’t sound silly!
Nodame Cantabile is a haven for fans of music. I absolutely love classical music, so I can attest that watching it was one of the most rewarding experiences I’ve ever had in anime. You rarely get to see shows depicting music in a very in-depth manner. Moreover, it’s a complete anime in all aspects. There’s good characterization and development despite being a romantic comedy, and the hilarious jokes are only the icing on the cake. All in all, the main appeal of the anime is, without a doubt, Nodame and her unique, rather eccentric personality. She exudes such a friendly and welcoming atmosphere that you can’t help but be fixated on her. A perfect person to befriend. I’d love to spend a day together with her, watch some shitty movies and treat her to some good homemade food, then I’d ask her to play this particular song for me. I’d shed tear of joys. One of the things I most love about Nodame is how she’s the completely opposite of your typical bishoujo. I’d say this imperfection is what sets up her apart from most characters. I hope you’ll love Finale as well. It was a perfect conclusion to the story in my opinion.
Oh yeah you can bet I am. It’s always good to see other people willing to give JoJo a go. There’s no better time to get into it now that a new anime is in the making. If you think what you’ve seen so far is already good, then you’ll probably like the upcoming parts even more. Part 1 despite being solid is just a small part of what awaits you and from my perspective is the weakest part in the story. Be aware that the art drastically changes throughout the series though. One Piece also went through a change in the art during the years, though what we’ve seen was more of an evolution in the technical aspects rather than an art style change. Let’s just say that JoJo does both, just on an even bigger scale. Speaking of One Piece, you’ll probably be surprised once Stands get introduced in Part 3. Similarly to the power system in OP, the possibilities for different and unique abilities are limitless. I should emphasize that both power system are completely different despite that, though. As for the translations, follow the gentleman’s advice just bellow me. Scans and translation for both Part 1 and 2 are great, Part 3 has good translation but atrocious yellow-piss pages, Part 4 has a hilariously bad translation by the legendary Duwang group, everything from Part 5 onwards is of decent quality, though you’ll have to keep in mind that Part 5 has a very inaccurate translation which might compromise some of your enjoyment. Hope you have lots fun adventuring through one of the most fabulous and “bizarre” manga to ever come out of Japan!
