"Actually, it is very effective. It shows who has the greater strengths, who has the ambitions to fight, who has a cocky attitude, who is blood-ridden, who is weak, who can actually master the ways of the swords, and what not. It shows me how much knowledge of the sword you DO have, and how much you lack." He smiled. "It shows me what abilities you have in your possession, and if you would use full force on a classmate. My training is all assessing, though, fighting a classmate, was only phase one. The true test would be on test dummy, or what not." He went over to his desk, and scribbled something on a note. "I don't do anything without conviction, or reason."

Comfort breeds weakness.", He let out a heavy sigh, "In simple terms why I think it's flawed, it's because it's not real-time combat. People change during combat, they show their true colors once their life is in danger."

He went to his desk, sat down, and began cracking his neck. "Assessing that information on dummies, wouldn't be as effective so early in the class."
