| "Oh, lord," She mutters to herself. Prissy girls weren't exactly her 'thing'. They whimpered and whined and they always wanted to be pampered. That, and they always make her feel like such a man. "So, what's the plan?" She calls to the group. |
| "I guess we follow the shiny thing and do our job." Athena said.She knew she was once a priestess too,but in her memories her clothes were way more not so shiny.She disliked this kind of "dressy" girls. |

| Sunohl glances at the shady-looking bunch that have gathered around her with a hint of loftiness. “Scarlet?” she asks suspiciously. |
| "Yes,we are." Athena replies."I'm Athena." she greets,bowing her head a little.Over all her thoughts,she HAD to be polite. |

| Sunohl had been told that the group would be specialists in retrieval, and she had that in mind, but it turns out that she was to be working with what looked like a bunch of thieves and raiders, the kind that could work in the shadows and conducted the darkest of deeds. She felt a bit uneasy, for she had encountered these types before in her childhood. What was there to guarantee her safety? “I’m Sunohl Eltant Unan’eel,” she said. “High Priestess.” Perhaps with that, the others would also state their professions and specialties in turn. |
| Athena smirked,rare of her."Athena,as I've just said.I'm a proud Undead being,whit the unique occupation of Redeemer,meaning I'm a Necromancer and a Summoner." she said.It sounded fun.And she guessed right,the shiny thing was a priestess,hooray. |

| Ashe bowed low, grinning at Sunohl. "I'm Ashe MacFarlane, Thief Extraordinaire." She left the rest out on purpose. Ashe felt the woman's unease and she almost laughed. Just because she looked like a heartless killer, and walked like a heartless killer, and sometimes acted like a heartless killer didn't mean that she was always a heartless killer... |
| Katsumi bowed slightly with a small smile. " I am Katsumi, an Illusionist." |

| "John Doe" said John grinning "The most smexy Undead Rogue you'll ever meet in this life and the next" He held out his hand... |

| Athena rolled her eyes at John's comment."I don't think the lady will appreciate your modesty." she mumbled. |

| "I don't think it exists..." Katsumi whispered to Athena. |

| "I was being sarcastic..." Athena whispered back to Kat,smiling a little. |
|
| "Whatever you say..." she whispered back smiling a little too. |
|
| Sunohl almost looked a bit displeased with the group. It wasn’t that she’s unsatisfied with how well they’d preform, since she figures they must be quite good. But rather, among the group were the darkest types she’s ever witnessed. Undead, necromancy, thief, rogue… she felt as if the group could suddenly knock her unconscious, drag her off to someplace hidden, strip her of her belongings and cut her up for spare parts. With a group like this, she feels like she would need to constantly watch her back. Her suspicion can be seen in the way she carries herself. With John reaching out with his hand, she figures she might as well shake it. She is a bit hesitant, and reluctantly does so. “Uh, all of you are here to help retrieve the Book of Leben, correct?” |
| "That's the mission we signed up for." |

| "Aye Ma'am... care to give us any details?" said John seriously ignoring the jibes from the other girls... |

| Athena stood silent,analyzing Sunohl.She could feel the fear,the suspicion and the low degree of disgust from a mile away.She didn't liked it!She was a walking corpse,but the only thing that remembered it was the allure surrounding her : the one of a quiet,serene cemetery. |

| Sensing the bad feeling she was getting from Sunohl. "There is nothing to fear from us. We're all on the same side." There was hope she would feel OK after hearing her words. |

| “It seems that news of Holy City of Barnesboro falling is quickly spreading across the land,” Sunohl explains. It’s up to us to secure the Great Treasure before it falls in the hands of who knows what unspeakable… filth,” she says with a bit of scorn in her voice. It didn’t seem like this group was all that much better, but if they were assigned to the mission, then The Scarlets must have at least some amount of trust in them. “It appears to be heavily trapped so for the time being, it should be safe from just any old bandit group, but that’s where you come in. I assume you are all masters at infiltration and retrieval?” |
| "Lady,is nothing to worry about." Athena spoke,cold and disgusted.She hated to be treated as she was some kind of abomination. |

| "So we just need to get in, grab the Book, and get out. While avoiding both sides of this little war and avoiding any vagabonds in between... correct?" asked John holding his hand to wave Athena down before she got too wound up... |

| "It seems that way. Lets just hope we recognize these traps before they get us." |
|
| "You're an illusionist,I'm a summoner.We can trap them before they trap us." Athena grinned,something striking her mind. |
|
| “Correct,” says Sunohl. “Shall we start gathering supplies in the city before we head off? Or perhaps rest for a night? I’d assume it was a tiring trip by boat.” |
| "I think we could afford to stay here awhile..." said John and then he turned and said "Athena, why don't you and the others go find an Inn?" He turned back to Sunohl and said "I was wondering if you could tell me where the nearest Apotheracy is? I got feeling I need to mix up some special equipment..." |

| “I see,” replies Sunohl. “Is that all that you’ll be needing?” |
| "Uhhhh... I think so? Am I forgetting anything?" asked John |

| "Athena you ready to go?" |
|
| "Actually,I'll let the inn finding on Kat's shoulders.Miss Sunohl,I need to visit a library and a Blacksmith.My blade needs some sharpen." Athena said. |

| "That's fine with me. Whose sharing a room with whom and where's a rendezvous point?" |
|
| "Uhh...." Athena said,scratching her head."We are three ladies and one guy,so one of us will stay with him.Pick what you prefer,I don't mind any option." she said,after a moment of thinking."About the meeting point..." |
|
| “Very well. I’ve memorized your signatures,” said Sunohl. “It shouldn’t be too difficult to find each other later. If not, we can just meet at the statue by the town square,” she says to the group. “About the arrangement, I wouldn’t mind either way.” |
| "Fine by me." Athena says,shrugging her shoulders.Deep down,she wished to get in room either with Kat or John.Even Ashe would do.But not the freaky priestess. |

| "Ok then I'm off. Oh by the way do you know where I can find a wet stone? I would also like to sharpen my weapons." |
|
| “That, I’m not sure,” Sunohl says to Katsumi. “Perhaps a weapon shop may have some? I’m not too familiar with those sorts of things.” |
| "Do you have a map?" Athena asked,sighing. |
|
| Ashe stayed quiet with all the preparations. She was good at following through with the plans, but far too technical when making them. "Can you use this one, Athena?" She pulled the small one she kept for her pocket knives out of her back pocket of her lucky cargo pants. "It's of great quality." She offered, trying to make nice-nice. |
| Athena analyzed it for a moment,copying each detail in her mind. "Thank you,Ashe." she smiled,returning it.She than started to move away. After walking 100 and a bit meters away from the party,she made left on a building's corner,and stopped.Taking a deep breath,she started to mumble some words.A skeleton appeared and knelt in front of her. "A blacksmith?" Athena asked. "That way,ma'am." the skeleton pointed a direction and a certain building. "Thank you." she mumbled and walked away,the skeleton turning into dust. |

| Walking around Katsumi finds a vacant Inn with several rooms available. Paying for the rooms, she walked around and looked for a place where she could take a hot bath and a place to buy a wet stone. |

| Sunohl is slightly alerted when she senses dark energy from Athena’s direction even when she was out of sight, then turns back to what she was doing. She can never be too careful. She begins to head off, gesturing towards John to follow her. She remembered seeing an apothecary that looked like they had a pretty decent selection of herbs, medicine, and various substances on the way. Hopefully, it would have what John was looking for. |
| Athena felt a great concentration of dead spirits around as she walked,the ground was screaming them out. She walked in the direction the skeleton pointed,and entered the shop.Behind a counter,it was the blacksmith,a big man,in his late thirties,bald and smoking a cigarette. "How can I help ya lady?" he asked with a huge grin,as Athena entered,and the small bells upon the door rang. Athen swung her hand in the air,making the scythe appear in her hand. "Whoa,nice thing!" the blacksmith said.Athena just smiled,placing the scythe on the counter."Sharpen it." she spoke. The man nodded his head."Come tomorrow after it,miss...?" "Athena." "Nice name.You're from outside the place,eh?" he asks. She just nods her head in agreement. |

| After he told the girls to go for the Inn, John disappeared into the streets of the town unnoticed. This wasn't his first time here, he'd been here years ago... to many years. So he didn't know if old Apotheracy still stood on the corner... A few minutes later he arrived at a dinky old building, he shrugged and went inside pausing only slightly to look at the plants in the window. Most were healing, the rest were... not. He grinned and entered... When he walked in a bell chimed and a grizzled grey haired old man walked in from the back and said "What can I do for ya sir?" John smiled and said "I need a stablizer for an explosive I'm working on... The man grinned a very white and clean smile "What's the medium?" John opned his pack and placed several jars on the counter, all of them filled a funny colored liquid. The old man looked startled and inspected the jar, he opned and sniffed and coughed slightly and said "Is this what I think it is?" John nodded "Yep, the highest quality of Dragon Drool... collected it myself" The man's eyes grew wide "How in the world did you manage THAT?" John's grin faded slightly as he said "You really don't wanna know... anyway Dragon Drool can be pretty unstable as an explosive alone, and I was wondering if you have anything to stablize it?" The old man still grinning said "My dear man, when I was young and vibrant I played around with this stuff all the... I have EXACTLY what you need depending HOW big of an explosion you want" John's eyes grew wide this time and said "What do you have in mind?" Then from there they started a whole alchemic discussion that lasted for a few hours... |

| Sunohl turns around to find that she’s been left behind. “Aahhh!” she shouts out, letting out her frustration to the town. A few passerbys stare at her for a moment before continuing on their way. “That’s why I don’t…” she begins to grumble under her breath, and runs her hand through her hair with a grumpy expression. |
| Ashe was just meandering around, playing with the various pocket knives she had brought with her. She didn't think she needed anything else. Maybe some food... She found a small pub and asked for whatever they had quick. She was given bread, cheese, and a large glass of some sort of juice. The last of her funds were slowly dredged from her pocket, and reluctantly handed over. "This won't be enough," The man behind the counter states. Ashe cursed slowly under her breath. "I don't have any more," She says pleadingly. "Can I wash dishes or sweep the floors or something?" |
| During her wanderings, she was able to find a wet stone and happened upon a pub and saw the commotion. "Sir, she's with me. I'll pay for her and I'll take the same thing, but make mine wine." Katsumi sits at the same table and mummers to her, "It's good for soothing the stomach." She watched the man leave and return and she paid him for the meals. |

| "And from where did you got a blade like this?" The man asks,studying the very sharp,very thin blade,curved,of the scythe,in amazement. "It's a long story." Athena smiles.The city she was now in was holdiing many memories.Happy ones.The man staying there remembered of her first time coming here,to sharpen the blade.The man who was back than asking same questions was probably this guy's grand-grand-grand-grandfather.The reason she summoned the skeleton was to convince the blacksmith house was still there. "I have time." The man said."But then,you can tell it to me another time,miss,as after your face I'd say you're in a hurry. Truth was,she wanted to go to the near lake.There must be some clue about her master! "I promise I'll tell you." Athena smiled,and started to move to the door.The man smiled,waving,and she waved back.As she closed the door the man sighed,he could still sense the serenity aura and his nose was filled with lavender scent."Gran Kaio,was she the lady who amazed you...?" he asked in a whisper the air,sighing,and touched amazed the thin blade again,taking the scythe with care with him to the back. |

| Ashe's eyes widened. "Th-thank you," She managed to force out. "You didn't have to do that." She managed sheepishly. She quickly changed the subject, vowing to pay Katsumi back as soon as she could. "When are we heading out? I wasn't paying attention at all..." |
| "I think we should before dawn,but we haven't discuss that. We are however going to meet up in the town square." Katsumi took a sip of wine and had slice of bread and cheese. "Oh and don't worry about paying me back." |

| John waved good bye to the old man, it was the most enjoyable conversation he has had for a long time. After all, not many people like talking about various concoctions design to make explosions big enough to level a tower... but oh well. John walked by the blacksmith, and saw standing there Athena getting her Scythe fixed up and he said with a smile "Still using that cliche old thing?" |
