So did Tube tell Will to close the thread or not? If he did, he must have looked through the thread, and I'm positive that there would have been a lot more jailings.

The silly thing is that there's a shit-ton of NSFW chatter that goes on in the D&D chat thread. At the very worst it could have been a temp ban, but I've never been a big fan of double standards.

And I don't believe Tube made Will post all those anti-anime comments in the chat thread either.

I'm just telling you what I know, I've only had a single response from him and I've told you guys everything I was told.

All I'm saying is I'm not angry at him at all anymore, I'm not saying you shouldn't be, especially if you feel you have a right to be. Just letting you know any extra facts as they come to me.

Anyways, I can't believe it took me this long to finish freaking GiTS: 2nd gig! Pretty damn good!

Man, all this talk about GitS reminds me that I need to actually watch it at some point. Pretty sure not having watched any GitS makes me some sort of anime heretic. I vaguely recall watching the original movie a decade or so ago, and I can only remember the opening, probably because the music creeped me out.

It's cool. Honestly there's no use being angry. It's just fun. :P

I just want our anime thread back, and hopefully it won't be segregated against and closed this time.

Cool then, I doubt it will get taken away again any time soon, it took damn near half a year for anything to happen and that's unlikely to happen again, we're good at staying out of the mods hair generally as it is.

BL to be honest, you're actually pretty lucky Tube didn't see that OP first otherwise you would likely have been banned.

If you'd posted those images in any other thread you would have most likely gotten a jailing as well. We were all pretty stupid not to see those and think, oh wait maybe someone like a mod might think this isn't ok, because they really weren't.

Really it's our fault as well that you got jailed, so for my part I'm sorry.

Quite frankly, if someone honestly through the OP was worth points, they should have infracted Will as well since he had an edit on record, adding content, and didn't take out any of the supposedly infraction worthy content.

Doesn't help when the mods get in YOUR hair.

Oh man I can't believe Tube is making Will say those horrible things about bisexuals and how Tube is making Will stereotype them. It's just like how Tube made Will do the same thing to anime and anime fans!

I actually picked it up in a store because it had a discount on it for some reason. It was worth it though.

Whoa, this is kinda cool:

Never noticed it before. Apparently Darren Aronofsky, the director, purchased the rights to Perfect Blue just so he could do the scene.

Hmmm, there should be a little '4' in a triangle or diamond on the case. Actually, is everything on one disc? Did it come with pamphlets/booklet? Do you see the "Geneon Entertainment" logo on it anywhere? Are the subtitles even uglier than usual or misspelled?

Anyway, I've been reading that blog called Gaijin Smash again... horrifically I've come to believe that series like Chu-bra are actually the most realistic depictions of school life in Anime.

Ugh.

I love gaijan smash, but from what I understand, it's not an altogether normal situation. Apparently kids there do stop and try trying to touch your junk, so to speak, if you tell them forcefully/the right way and he's doing it wrong or some shit.

Haven't checked out the subtitles yet. There's the Geneon logo on the top left of the front of the box, top of the side and bottom right of the back. Turns out it IS region 1, as I tried it on my macbook and got rejected, so it would appear I have a Magical Girl... errr Magical DvD player that loves it master so much it'll play any DvD it wants to. No complaints there.

As for booklets or pamphlets, there's just a Funimation "coming soon" booklet from like early 2009 and some customer satisfaction form. The DvDs look to be decent quality, but are in those little slim cases (3 total), but the cases are pretty decent quality and the cover/back insets are good. I might post pics later.

Yeah, she did an awesome job of listening to the story of Tai's kirin for 6 episodes.

They didn't need to shoehorn Youko in with a framing device.

Blame the director for that.

One of the reasons the Twelve Kingdoms anime stopped more or less where it does is because Youko isn't that big of a character (or doesn't appear at all) in the later books.

The way the world is set up, it would be impossible to find reasons for her to get involved in all the other kingdoms' problems. Kinda funny that, in a show called 12 Kingdoms, only a handful of the kingdoms are even involved.

The other kingdoms are either screwed beyond belief or relatively stable and thus not interesting.

The other books start going into some of the others (hence why she doesn't appear and the anime wasn't extended~). En has a book, Kyou has a book, there's a book of short stories of other kingdoms.

Yo

I've been enjoying arakawa, working!! (you need the exclamation points, I'm told), drrr! (same), and giant killing.

In the midst of all this, I managed to finish all the mainline routes of fate/stay night. Now, is there any real benefit to finding all the tiger dojo ends? Will an extra scene that I would be unable to find on youtube pop up, tying together some parts of the story?

edit: after a brief inquiry, found it on youtube; now I feel like an idiot.

And the rest of the anime I ordered off Ebay finally got here too, including Nanoha. Which also looks to be in good shape. Haven't tried the disc out yet, but since my DvD drive seems to be region-free, I'm not too worried.

Just pleased this all turned up :D
