 Seitokai Yakuindomo Moribito: Guardian of the Spirit was a lot more enjoyable than I anticipated. And it seems on the 30th of April HiDive is getting the rights to stream Season 1 of The Demon Girl Next Door back. In other news however. I messaged Crunchyroll support about season 2 of Tonikawa not being available for NZ. And linked proof from all the news reports saying that seasons 1,2,the special episode and the OVA being available for New Zealand. And all I got back was "Thank you for your report, it looks like I'll need to escalate this to a Crunchyroll specialist. we will reach out to you as fast as possible." Two weeks later and I haven't even got so much as a confirmation that they are looking into it or an apology for it taking so long. |

The problem is a bug on Crunchyroll's end that happened ever since the OVA was released. I already got confirmation that people in Australia can view all the seasons and episodes. But for some reason the bug only affects New Zealand. |

 Seitokai Yakuindomo S2 I finally started watching Clannad. And I say started because when I went to watch it I passed out because of my newly messed up sleeping pattern xD But, I will say one thing. When it becomes to Key VN adaptations. The girls are so freakin adorable. And you can't tell if the mother is actually just her older sister. |

Running out of steam huh? Seitokai Yakuindomo S2 Finally finished Clannad and Clannad OVA Tomoyo. Makes me wanna play the VN even more now. But you can really feel the Key in it. Especially after watching Little Busters and Kanon. Kind of a shame that most of them were eroge and haven't been released outside of Japan, and even fewer with English captioning. That being said Kanon is getting a re-release on the Switch, but only in Japan for now. And supposedly Angel beats is also scheduled for release Spring 2023 on Steam (I think?) but I don't know how overseas seasons work compared to mine. Just coming into winter now. Tomoyo After ova was nice. Kind of a shame that it feels more like an afterthought on behalf of the studio rather than having it's own proper arc. |

 Seitokai Yakuindomo S2 And out of raws until I take down some of my HiDive raws. Or until I get around to watching the S2 OVA for Seitokai Yakuindomo. And Urusei Yatsura part 1 arrived last week. Seems they are being released a couple of months apart. So unless something happens to Parts 3 and 4 I'll actually have completed the collection sooner than I thought. But I have to decide whether or not I want to add the movies to my collection seeing as though Crunchyroll only licensed the movies for America on their service. And the OVAs haven't been released on Dvd/Blu-ray but I've already seen em so meh. Except for Rumic World, I think I had to skip that one. |
 129 You ever hear a J-Idol /Anime performer and her voice... doesn't sound right? I don't mean the standard auto-tuning you often hear in songs. There are performances where the pitch sounds unnatural, like it's being automated or pitched in a degree you know no normal human can make turning them to robotic chipmunks. Yeah I know, the idol industry has many toxic problems and the singing pitch is what I'm complaining about. "Old Man Yells at Clouds" out. |

Reason I don't like idol anime is because I observe everything in my field of view and having idols dancing while singing annoys me on such a deep level that I can't even really explain it that well. Like, I love music to pieces, out of my hobbies music actually places ahead of Anime, as hard to believe as it is. But Idols..... I can't get over Idols. And Idol anime has that nasty habit of resorting to horrible CGI when the camera pans out and it's an incredibly noticeable difference than when the camera is zoomed in on them. But I have noticed the sort of discrepancies between live performances and recordings. On Youtube people have to alter the pitch so they don't get caught by Youtube's auto flag system that instantly flags/adds advertisements to things that have copyrighted material in them. There are anime songs and characters speaking in these pitches the way the anime wants them to sound like. If these idols were picked because they "sound cute" then let them sound in their natural voice. No need to alter it to force an artificial "cutesy" sound that no human can make. |

Well yea, I know that. Whether it's natural or not I have no idea, but I mostly dislike the chipmunk effect when characters talk. Sometimes they can actually sing like that, but it's out of my area of expertise so I can't really say much. But I do dislike autotune in music. My brother listens to a band called BabyMetal sometimes. He goes through these weird phases sometimes. Like ASMR.  Humanity Has Declined |

Who is? Chidori RSC Finally finished with Clannad. And After Story was savage. In fact, it would have been more humane to be mauled by a bear. But it was great. But the biggest problem was the ending of the series, not the special episodes. I hate it when horrible things happen and then they cop out so you get a happy ending. Kinda like Nausicaa where she sacrifices herself to stop the Ohm from going berserk but then they just resurrect her. Things like that just make all the sacrifice and hardship moot. But I mean, it is an adaptation of a VN. It is nice however that it was a romance that actually progresses past the first kiss or the awkward hand holding. |

Haven't started watching it because I'm still waiting for Crunchyroll technical to fix the Tonikawa bug for New Zealand~  Humanity Has Declined When I was collecting Magic the Gathering cards I used to sort my collection. From rarity,to colour to type you name it. I stopped collecting now because I no longer see the point in them and just see them as space wasters. |

Hmm might be the Monogatari book, cause that will inevitably be animated given how popular the rest of the series is, but I don't know how it would work out given Hanamonogatari. Unless it's another prequel, but Kizumonogatari pretty much sorted all that out unless it's about the 3 exorcists. Didn't hear about a new Shana. And I really hate Madoka. But I am curious about the Silent Hill remake, supposedly number 2 is the best Silent Hill but after playing Resident Evil 0/1 and Amnesia the Dark Descent I can't help but feel that I shouldn't play puzzle games. Pretty much all MMOs these days are single player games. Unless of course you joined the game with friends, you should never expect anyone to be considerate or helpful when gaming. Only thing I'm curious about with my internet connection is the state of streaming services, both legit and not so much. But I believe the problem with those is more server location rather than internet speed. And I just remembered the important upcoming show that I had forgotten about. It was the second part of Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card. |
 147 Some real life updates: Last months I've been having my depression cycles again. This week I took it off just to get some R&R away from work. But there was a surprise heading my life. I met a girl. It was a surprise from my Mother who introduced us together. Had a little dinner introducing each other, getting a little familiar together. Today I got the good news: She got the approval of her family for us to be together. Baby steps, but this has been the happiest I've ever been in my life in a very long time. My real evolution in life has just started. |

Seems the new Tenchi Muyo GXP OVA has started airing on Crunchyroll. Supposedly it links the events from Tenchi Muyo Ryo-Ohki 4 and 5 together. And also explains Paradise Island from the light novels. But honestly, I hated 4 and 5 and have yet to watch the original GXP so I don't know how I feel about it. Watched everything else though save for the older GXP and Tenchi in Tokyo. I have them but have been thus far reluctant to watch. |

I think I'll do it a season at a time to avoid burn out and shoujofication. But it begs the question. Save for death match mahou shoujo and fanservice based ones, is it possible for a true mahou shoujo show to be aimed at all audiences? True mahou shoujo like sailor moon are aimed at young girls, but magical girl shows are almost ahead of mecha and cooking shows in regards to genres I don't have much experience with. Like, I've never watched PreCure and PreTear, but I have watched most of the seasonal death match ones like Magical Spec Ops Asuka, Magical Girl Raising Project and Puella Magi Madoka Magica. So is it even possible for a true magical girl show to be acceptable for all audiences and not just because of personal taste? |
