I'm not particularly sorry to be taking apart another of your pet properties.
Funny you still think you or anything you say bothers me 9_9, just trying to keep your thoughtless (again proven by the fact you don't even pay attention to the character's names, when they are even in the show's title, your excuse is like not knowing who Haruhi is in the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya) rantings and stupid threories ruining the show for anyone else.
: If we're taking seriously this girl's willingness to expose herself,
She only exposes herself to one person (Shirota), no one else remembers.
Although maybe sleeping with someone breaks the spell,
The power is called "Eternal Virgin Road", obviously implying just that.
It's pretty easy to figure out why she acts and does what she does, for someone of normal intelligence that is.

@MenchiK1 Why not quote me, or otherwise reply more respectfully in ways I notice, if I'm not bothering you? Why call me names or otherwise disparage me? It's fairly obvious I'm doing a good amount of thinking, and you lying about it doesn't obscure that. As to mistaking Takamine's name, notice that the premise of the show is that dude is girl's closet, that she makes him put her underwear on her—indeed, as people (maybe you, I don't remember) say above, the manga being drawn from the perspective of dude putting underwear on girl is something the show needs to do better at—so that it would make sense that the name of the person putting the underwear on the girl would be the name of the person in the title being asked to put the underwear on. Indeed, this makes the title somewhat strange. Anyway, it is entirely fair to think girl is willing to expose herself, and indeed enjoys doing so. Even if everyone forgets, she still experiences exposing herself to people. She could always, you know, not—unless there's some time limit, which it seems like she denies given that she claims to still be able to reverse saving dude from prison (which could be a lie), and even if there were she could always move somewhere she's not standing up in full view of everyone. Naturally nothing you've said really makes a dent in any of this. Like I said, I want this show to do well, and it is a compliment to it that I watch it and that it gives me thoughts. I'm not watching any of the dozen isekai-adjacent properties streaming this season, but I am watching this. |

@MenchiK1 But ah! You give me an idea: MenchiK1 said: The power is called "Eternal Virgin Road", obviously implying just that. Takamine does indeed give a name for her power. But how much hermeneutic weight should we give the name? (Hermeneutics being the study of interpretation, particularly of artistic works.) In other words, how much should we pay attention to the name she gave her power? I remember what I thought when I got to the part of the first episode when she gave her power's name: I thought it made sense that someone thus megalomaniacal would give a flattering, silly name for her ability; I was thinking more of what she was like as a person, and not some sort of secret clue the name was supposed to give me. Absolutely everything in a work is part of its meaning. And there is more than one way of going about assigning interpretive importance to each part of a work. You seem to put a lot of meaning into offhand facts ("Eternal Virgin Road"), whereas I care less about these. Indeed, apparently I figured out one of the rules of her power (she loses it if she has sex) without knowing the name the show gives it. That seems to say my hermeneutic is powerful enough to figure out what's going on without having everything spelled out for me. It is a literary fact (empirical, objective, whatever you like) that there is more than one way to interpret a work of art. It seems you want to deny this. |

I would think the only way she would know that her power is tied to her virginity--and she's not just calling it that out of ego--is if she knows someone else who had the ability and they told her how it works. |

@zkeleton I'm expecting an exposition dump forthcoming—although the way Takamine says she discovered her power makes it sound like she wouldn't have known its properties at first. So something else had to have happened to give her that information. Meanwhile I kind of like the idea of juxtaposing Takamine and Light; she's clearly dumber than he is, but she's similarly egomaniacal, and her power is strong enough maybe a fight between them would be interesting. And Light didn't have any women at his level; again, I like the comparison. |

Got that everyone, it made a stupid mistake but I'm the idiot. And just to remind you of its intelligence there are more walls of text, because remember the way to prove you're intelligence on the internet is to write lots of words, especially big words that you feel are so big you have to explain them to the ignoramuses reading the thread (just so you know what it thinks of all of you). 9_9 |

@zkeleton Her power is one of those Japanese kanji wordplay things, IIRC it's literally something like "Untouched Unknowing Maiden" but the furigana translates to "Etrenal Road" or something and it looks like the anime translation sort of combined them to "Eternal Virgin Road" obviously since the mangaka was involved in this he gave some input into the official translation. She is meant to seem to Shirota like she has an ego at least so you never know, I don't think the anime showed it but the sign over the student council room (remember she is student council president) in the manga reads something like "The Untouchable God". IMO her power's name is more of a description of how others view her because of her power. She is so amazing in everything, beauty, brains, athletics, personality that they see her as literally an untouchable goddess and so even though everyone likes her (its only Shirota she treats like crap) being perfect has set her apart from everyone else. The manga and anime both mention this but it goes by way too quick to even remember they mentioned it. So she's literally untouchable and untouched. Her power put her on an untouchable path if that makes sense. Honestly there's no real reason to dig deeper into her power, the manga never reveals any more about why it exists or how it works, or how she knows how it works. It just is, accept it. It's just an excuse for the author to put these two in situations where she gets naked so he can draw a sexy naked girl. That's all the deeper this book is, the fact that there is a very thin plot between him and her is just a bonus for some humor and an excuse to bring in other girls whom he can draw naked too. It is that shallow. Thus my disappointment, how hard is it to get shallow ecchi right? As I said in my first post the author has another comic for subscribers to his site with an identical looking girl that most of the time he doesn't even write dialogue for he just draws her having sex (so if you ever see any really explicit art of Takamine it's not her it's the other girl) so he isn't really know for his writing. |

Geez what was with the delay on ep 3? And they had his stupid face covering her up, did Crunchyroll revert to a censored version? (edit OK reading through the other forum thread I guess they did, disappointing) Also they skipped part of a chapter about swimming and did the bike part instead which is waay ahead in ch 8. Weird. Anyway art still bad, being animated isn't really adding anything to this. Oh well. And what was up with that jizz scene? Especially her licking o_0 That was anime only, and it was quite the weird addition since the author saves that stuff for his hentai version of Takamine , Kendo girl. |

MenchiK1 said: And they had his stupid face covering her up, did Crunchyroll revert to a censored version? (edit OK reading through the other forum thread I guess they did, disappointing) Well Crunchyroll is owned by Sony. You know, the company that forced the removal of Intimacy Mode from Senran Kagura Burst: ReNewal on PS4. And they bought Funimation, and had a cry about Interspecies Reviewers and canceled the streaming on Funimation despite having bought the license. I'm more surprised that Crunchyroll got this instead of Sentai than them trying it out uncensored and then censored it later. A shame that no one got the Robot one. |

There are actually three versions of the show that was announced before it aired, the censored version (full of shirota cover ups), the less censored version and the Eternal Virgin Road fully uncensored version. I think CR licensed the less censored version from the beginning and the ep 1 & 2 are essentially identical to the fully uncensored version up until episode 3. I think this less censored version is basically the fully uncensored version but very specific scenes will get the episode 3 treatment. However... the weird thing is Takamine's ass cheeks and crotch were covered up in ep 3 but the tits were not censored. Ep 1 didn't cover up the ass and crotch and the new ep 4 didn't censor anything as well. I think the studio and the licensors just did a lazy half assed inconsistent job with the censorship in ep 3 for the less censored version. Also that jizz scene wasn't in the manga which I highly suspect that is the reason why the studio made a total three versions of this show. If that scene is reason why this whole fiasco is happening in the first place, why did they even bother adding in it? I thought it was pointless. |

The ads for the Japanese Blu-ray are also advertising nudes of Takamine so "hot" they couldn't be in the manga. Not sure what to make of pushing this x-rated version of her. Like I have mentioned before Yuichi Hiiragi has until now kept Takamine R rated and if you want X rated stuff he created an almost identical character (plus others girls) on his private site. Would be weird to take a non hentai character and make her hentai when shows like Tsundere elf start hentai and tone it down. Wonder if the sponsers are pushing him to make more for their investment? :/ Kinda disappointing as Takamine (so far) is really except with Shirota a pretty innocent character. I thought Japanese fans liked to keep their waifu virginal so they can marry them (in their fantasies), maybe tastes are changing? :( |

Ep 4, well no delay this week as not much nudity or anything "else". 9_9 Anyway art and direction still horrible, that swimming scene oof. Then the tights scene, jeez has none of these animators seen Miru tights? That was pretty disappointing, for a scene about wearing something so tight all the "details" were visible, to not draw even the outline of anything...don't know what to say. |

(though in the manga it's covered barely so not sure why it isn't in the anime.) |

Well (little less than) a week late but Crunchyroll has, as expected, put up the censored version with Shirota's stupid floating head over her crotch in all 3 scenes, nipples still are OK I guess. Ha looks like all the pics of Takamine's vag got deleted in the main forum. |

Well no vagina (though honestly in that one scene there should have been some visible) so back to completely uncensored and undelayed on Crunchyroll. Now compare it to last week's Ninja and Killer apron cooking scene LOL The inconsistent artwork is getting frustrating and really killing my enjoyment of this but I will say at least they made an effort to show Takamine has quite a perky ass to match her tits, I always find it disappointing when other big-boobed anime girls have just as flat an ass as the flat chested girls. Though I love the visuals I always found this manga chapter rather hilarious that it took that much from her before he finally got a boner. I know she constantly cuts him down and makes him feel worthless but how he still isn't walking around with a near constant erection with how often he sees her naked, up close, and this time even has repeated physical contact. I find her powers more believable than his ability to remain flaccid. LOL Though the whole point was to show Takamine can get embarrassed and accidentally take things too far in her teasing, revealing despite her comfort with being naked she isn't experienced with anything beyond that. Now the real question who wore it better? Takamine? or Satoko? |

So apparently, judging by the recent episodes, the initial reason for the involvement of the 2 main leads, is the result of some childhood crush (confession, in that culture) gone bad? Wow. My first thought was, if she is that manipulating, and sees herself as a physical goddess to boot, I have to wonder if that guy could have escaped it going sideways no matter what! Not that the guy is all that bright, and obviously she must have twisted standards to even still keep bothering with him at all. Some of the dialogue makes their interplay pretty cringey, for me anyway. But, of course I am still watching, so I must like a train wreck as much as the next person. I did like some of the expressions drawn that almost actually had a Japanese nature to them, as opposed to so much typical anime with generic styling, which I know is the norm. I'll give it that at least. I see in the OP there appears to be at least 2 other featured female characters. Already here at episode 6, I have to wonder if anything much else will develop outside of the 2 main leads, at least before someone throws in the towel over the nudity shuffle. -What an odd show. |

What a weird couple of episodes. It seems that due to a childhood incident she loves him, loves him enough to be comfortable being naked around him. And he is the typical cluess, indecisive wishy washy anime male. As she has stated that she can go back in time as long as she is a virgin are we building up to a wild sex ending of her powers. And it appears they are about to introduce another girl into the mix. I wonder if she will have the same powers. If those two got married, i am pretty sure than by month 2 she would be pegging him. |

Decent episode, things should get a little more interesting with Eri finally showing up. Finally realized who the guy is in the OP, though I have to wonder if there is enough time for the anime to do that whole manga story. If they do end it there it will be the perfect place to end. No censorship but pretty sure in the manga (based on the shading and a joke she makes) her panties are supposed to be crotchless (especially since his thumb and the button always cover them) note the bra are entirely made of lace and so are the top of the panties, wouldn't the middle be lace too, to match? Whereas the anime showed them but makes them normal panties Pair she references eariler as why she was interested in these |

And finally Ellie (the manga translations always had it Eri) shows up to add a little genki fun and even more misunderstandings to the show. It's fun seeing Takane being the one who gets really flustered for once and showing her true feelings. It's too bad we won't get to the later stories with her but she'll be around for another episode to cause one more bit of confusion ;) |

Well, even though Takane still has quite the manipulation thing going, -from my anime-only perspective anyway (I have not read the manga), as of episode 7 it seems evident that she does actually begin to give up a lot to her as yet unaware childhood crush. For instance, the train ride oopsie bit makes things seem more even, in that he winds up really finding out just how much of a handfull (actually 2) she is indeed, literally! -And even though she re-does that day, I think he gets to remember that part - right? Hope so. |

Well Takamine's true intentions should be obvious by now leading to her, in hindsight, rather misplaced jealousy with Ellie. I did enjoy how she decided to overwrite his memories of what happened in the park though. Her repeated failure at trying to reward him shows just how awkward she really is. |

HOOfan_1 said: Is this the third, or fourth time they've delayed it on Crunchyroll? 3rd I think though for the same reason, looks like the show is going to stay anatomically correct. :) They keep adding a detail not in the manga (the leaf placement should prevent it, but they changed the leaf angle) I really hope they fix the animation for the Blu-ray because outside of the ecchi bits this looks pretty janky, anatomy was all over the place this episode. -_- |

Well that was kinda weird. For the uncensored version it was uncensored but it was almost like they didn't finish the animation so there wasn't anything to censor (leaving it for the Blu-ray?) Like what's going on here? the way it's drawn it's like a void Also despite the thinness of the rope, and what little it could cover, they didn't really add any details (beyond shading) like highlights like last week. Wonder if Crunchyroll will even bother with the censored version Only one slight chance for anything to be censored in the finale, again depends on if they follow the manga or add some "details". Edit: I stand corrected, someone in the other forums pointed out they did add a little detail to denote the line on her vagina (at the very top), third time in this series. Odds are there will be a 4th next week, since in the manga it's a pretty clear straight on view of her without panties. Though in the manga there is a shadow so it may just be trying to copy that...debatable (anatomically it seems a little high) |

Womp Wommp <sad trombone> and so it ends. And as predicted Crunchyroll didn't need to wait or the censored version this week, as the show kind of already censored itself. Unlike most of the season where they made the nudity even more explicit than the manga they showed even less than the manga this week. When he is under her dress he drew it so you see everything, not just her ass Also that scene of them in school looking out the window was anime original, which was disappointing because they do have a similar conversation in the manga a chapter or two later where they are studying in her house again and gives him a massage as a reward tricking him into thinking she is naked, the jokes on her though as she accidentally falls and he catches her but in her haste to grab something accidentally grabs the boner she gave him (through his pants), which as usual she plays off by insulting him but in fact she is completely embarrassed and maybe something else ;) Anyway I would have much rather gotten that scene. But I guess that was par for the course for this show. Overall I haven't been this disappointed with a manga adaptation since Tenjho Tenge they were pretty much faithful to the manga throwing in a few extras here and there, so I can't complain about that especially with the nudity which could have easily been censored, but at the same time it was a lazy effort. There was nothing here that elevated it beyond the manga, since all they had to do is copy the manga they couldn't have put more effort into making the animation smoother, have nicer backgrounds, effects, music, something? Everything was just adequate. There is no way I could ever recommend the anime over the manga to anyone. I don't know maybe I just set my expectations a little too high since I am a fan but when I see other shows elevating the anime way beyond the manga (what Shaft is doing with Ninja and Assassin) I can't but think what they could have done with this show. :( |
