I wouldn't call it subpar just for being some days late. I'm not that impatient.

I'm more concerned about the quality of the subs, including the level of localization (more is bad, since I'm not American), typo errors and word translation choices.

I kinda wanna watch it on the day, as it's usually the highlight of my day. unless something amazing happened, which usually doesn't

Tbh I don't care for quality, but I was just remember some reviewers and their opinions on the matter.

8GB for 25 episodes?
Gah, if 1080p was that I'd be happy of all the space my 3TB would save, 25 season in 1080p is usually 25-26 GB soft sub
37-38 GB hard

Let me help you, I assume toradora?

Hey, I think that's where we have to agree to disagree. You go for speedsubs, I wait for generally better quality. Even now I still refuse to touch any HorribleSubs release.

You mean batches? It's not really that big of a deal since you have a much faster internet connection compared to my own. I have to wait 20+ minutes to DL just a single episode, yours would probably be done in a few minutes.

if bakabt doesn't work go to

The difference is in the resolution. The DSX one is at 1280x720 resolution, so it's bigger. The CoalGirls version is in 480p Standard Definition. I'd get the DSX version for video quality.

Being able to understand through the errors won't cut it for me. Especially since I go into grammar nazi mode sometimes, so I can't stand frequent typos and untranslated signs (a sign of lazy typesetting).

10-bit is a kind of new h264 codec encode. Not all players support it, and ordinary hardware definitely doesn't. If you installed CCCP and use the included player Media Player Classic-HomeCinema (MPC-HC), you should have no problems playing 10-bit video.

What picture link? Also, torrents do not count as DDLs.

I'd go with CCCP. Fansub groups themselves reportedly use CCCP, and I've read more than one post from subbers that discourage VLC because of many other issues regarding anime encodes. VLC would be fine for live-action movies, but CCCP is designed for anime playback.

My own setup is CCCP + xy VSfilter, while my player is MPC-HC.

CCCP is a codec pack + video player. It should take care of all your anime watching needs.

If it has 70 seeds, then more will connect to you later. Be patient.

Yes, that's why CCCP is recommended for beginners. It has MPC-HC included along with components that should enable playback for most videos. Though some of the components are outdated already (that's why I started using xy VSfilter as well). Expecting an updated CCCP on 12/12/12.

Once they know more about video playback, they can try the more complicated setups with standalone software to optimize video playback.

If you can get used to the smaller video resolution, then by all means, go for the 480p DVD version.

My screen is too big for me to comfortably watch 480p in full screen, so I go for 720p versions (screen not big enough to take advantage of full HD 1080p :( ).

Technically, if your resolution is over 576p, you've got an HDTV...

BD is way better than ANY stream JnM.
And how can you complain about size? I've got torrents way over 80gb on my pc, and I've got a quarter of your speed.

Depends on the size, but if it's 500MB it takes a little over an hour. I get 124kb/s at max on torrents.
