| You must have a comfy life to be worrying about such "problems". PC isn't everything. If you even attempted to play half of the games you claim you can (read: emulation) you would immediately realize how unreliable that solution is. Software should be played on the hardware it was intended for. Whatever software you like is up to you. Bragging about "exclusives" and what your platform has is ridiculous because there is no way that you have taken full advantage of your platform of choice, or played to an appreciable extent even a fraction of that library. Arguing about consoles plays into the hands of the corporations who own them, your opinion on this scale can never influence their decisions. Arguing about PCs has no bearing whatsoever in making changes in the industry or in the community. The only goal of such arguments (whether you recognize it or not) is to get others to validate your own opinion, and that's the hallmark of a toxic personality. Congratulations on your efforts thus far to tear apart communities and cause unnecessary political stress in public forums upon the mention of video games, where instead you should be welcoming of any who share your hobby. |

Games on PC take your raw storage away, and when comparing PC games to the storage vs physical games to your house, the latter has more space available to you assuming you condense them. The steam client rarely lags for me... If, you know, you have steam installed on the middle of your HDD, which runs at a lower speed, that might be it. But usually thats only an issue to people who completely fill their HDD with crap, maybe go download something like CCleaner and clean it, or something like the Auslogics DiskDefrag and defrag your Hard drive, high fragmentation might be causing it. Ugh, Steam is always a lagfest of a client. I've had it on nearly three HDDs now (1TB desktop, 500GBs desktop, 500GBs laptop) and the issue still persists. No amount of cleaning fixes the problem, its a problem within the client itself that moreover, baka Gaben doesn't even acknowledge of its existence because he doesn't want to. Physics, ha! What do you care about in a shooter game? The shooting or the physics? Of damn course its the shooting. If there's broken shooting, that's a terrible FPS game. If there's terrible item falling physics, there's still an FPS game to be played. Good level design is something I can always find in other FPS games, including but not limited to the likes of Doom and Duke Nukem 3D. And Wolfenstein 3D. Half-Life is no different. I'll agree with you on the story part though, but that's the only thing it has. Saying the HL series had nothing to trump other shooters is a hilariously bad claim. Only the Valve logo was the reason. That's all. Also, if you're going to talk about graphics, go see how HL2 stacks up in comparison with other games released in 2004. I don't care about the graphics. I can play Atari 2600 games right now even though I have graphically demanding games, not a problem.
