My friends always recommend this anime too me but I’m not sure if it is worth it.. what do you think :)

It is good, but it is definitively not for everyone.

long episodes, I think it is around 80 episodes long. However, my every fiber would recommend if anyone wants to watch a good anime

Definitely worth watching a good chunk of it atleast, to see if it's for you or not. Although it's a slow burn but the payoff is absolutely worth every second.

I definitely think it's worth it, but I'm biased because this particular anime helped me through a hard time in my life. It's honestly my favorite anime, but in this day and age, it is definitely slow like others have mentioned.

My husband is just now watching it and enjoys it, but I'm not sure if this is something you should watch if you're trying to get back into anime... I guess I don't know your history and don't want you to feel discouraged.

Very good. It may be a bit difficult to get into it, since it's a psychological and philosophical story, but it's worth a reading.

I really like it. It doesn’t feel overly anime if you know what I mean. More serious mystery/thriller plot

If you are into psychological thrillers, then you will absolutely love this anime. For example, what really amazed me about this show is how every episode feels magnificently orchestrated, and there is not a single scene or character in this anime misplaced or meaningless. Eveything actually makes sense in the grand scheme of things.

But I would also say this show is not for everybody. If you lack patience and preffer more dynamic shows, then Monster might bore you.

From my experience, it had potential to be a masterpiece but messed it up with irrelevant side stories and bad ending.
Best ending line in anime history = "My name is Saiki Kusuo. I am a psychic."

It was good back in time when it was released BUT as on 2023, those who have watched most of the Suspense crime thrillers won't get much excited. it'll feel like a "Just Watch" but gets interesting during some events.

Yes, the anime “Monster” made by Naoki Urasawa is legendary. Everything that happens there is very detailed. The characters are well made, the action is presented in a unique way and if you start watching this anime, you wouldn’t stop until you finish it.

It is an alternative world from what we are used to… no special powers or power systems… but it’s crazy good… good written characters, extremely good antagonist and a very nice plot… I recommend it 100%

it's awesome. Trust me on that. befor i watched it I always asked my self why Johan is so hyped.. now he is my favorite villian.

Truly a masterpiece, i don't know if it's an anime you can greatly enjoy as it tackles dark and thought-provoking themes, i doubt that many people enjoy this type of anime, but nevertheless it's an interesting mystery thriller which i would say would fit more as a book rather than an anime but still, Urasawa is a great mangaka and he knows how to incorporate something uncommon that you see in anime/manga in his anime or manga

one thing to say this anime is one of the best psychological thrilling anime. Its back ground sounds, story line are so perfect that u will begin to feel dark and disturbed inside u

i absolutely despise monster and everything it tries to do, but the other urasawa's works are awesome. 20 century boys, even though is flawed, is extremely fun to read and its ending is still in my head, even months after i finished it. Pluto on the other hand is near perfect, lets hope the anime is as good as the manga.

Monster is a 10/10 God-teir anime. Its story is unmatched, soundtrack is excellent. Tik tokkers might find it too slow but really it does move quite fast. Many twists and turns.

Alright no problem

if you want to get into anime i would suggest you to watch starter anime first like death note and one punch man because monster is not the type of story you should binge

It is not for everyone.I like to experiment and try different stuff and I really liked the characters and story of this show.It is really slow in the beginning and it never picks up the pace until the last set of episodes.If you like character driven shows like breaking bad you will probably like it as well.

Monster it's very well written. it's flaw lies in various chapters that you can pretty much skip, there are some characters that just disappear and do not weight to the main story arch. however the protagonist journey it's a good human development. this anime does not contain many common things, but the world is very grounded. And the antagonist! The main villain is great with an amazing back story. still give me chills to hear the story of his name.
