| Episode 1 I don't need to be reminded about just how controversial the beginning was. But after the prologue, it's back to town where Goblin Slayer meets a four-eyed rookie adventurer who is hellbent on killing goblins himself and wants to learn under the Goblin Slayer himself. The rookie sure has an attitude problem, especially when he is tasked with killing rats when he has the urge to kill goblins. Well, he gets his chance, but will need to do so with the Priestess leading the party. The rookie sure did make his presence known there, and now he will need to back up all that talk. Great to finally be back with this show that was really dark at times, but also lighthearted at others like this episode is. |
| Before anyone starts on the second season make sure to watch the movie because they do mention some stuff from it. Anyways a year has gone by since Priestess became an adventurer, and she gets to see all the rookies go on there first mission. The focus of todays episode was a rookie mage who wants to kill goblins and asks GS for advice. We do get some fan service with cowgirl when she greets GS when he gets home. I even like how she claim to be GS wife when asked who she was to him. GS needs to put a ring on that finger asap! The rest of the episode was the rookie mage talking big about killing goblins and to settle the matter he would go on a hunt with Priestess as the group leader. I did find this mage really annoying so maybe after this mission he will learn that goblins are no joke and we don't see him again. I do miss White Fox animating this because when it comes to fan service, they put the budget when it comes to bouncing breasts. |
| Goblin Slayer would make a terrible teacher. Not because his knowledge about killing goblins is subpar (which it isn't), but because he doesn't want anyone taking notes. I wonder how good goblins could get at codebreaking? |

| The main thing I remember is that he's actually really hawt under that helmet. I hope this insufferable little bastard is only here for a couple episodes and we don't have to put up with him the entire season. |

| Episode 2 That rookie wizard is about to get a reality check as goblins are a lot more dangerous than he ever imagined. That poor girl was being brutally tortured, but with the arrival of Goblin Slayer and his party, they took down those freaks. That troll was quite a tough enemy, but using ice magic to cause something that's heated and quickly frozen was a brilliant idea. And then the wizard reveals that he had an older sister that was killed by goblins, so it's no wonder why his personality is what it is. Emotions sure were flying seeing that this line of work is quite dangerous. |

| Even after seeing that it's not easy killing goblins the mage still has that shitty personality. The reason for that is because the year before his sister was the mage who was in Priestess party. And we know how she died. Well looks like this mage is the focus of the next arc but hopefully doesn't remain in the party after. |
| Episode 3 Training is going on in the party as the wizard boy gets taught the many ways to use magic, all while the elf girl improves her skills. And a bunch of conversations as everybody is getting ready for their next quest. And that comes sooner than expected when goblins attack a farm. For the most part, a laid-back episode, but it ends with a call to action. |
| The training grounds come under attack. Kind of amusing at the end, as Goblin Slayer was going to train some people in killing goblins, and now he's going to show them in a real-world situation rather than a mock battle. |

| Seems like the theme of this episode is that things don't always go as you planned or wished, but you need to make the best of your current situation. I liked what Dwarf Shamen said to the young mage though. "A mage's job isn't just to cast spells, it's to use spells". Of course young mage doesn't understand the difference, but the difference is that a mage shouldn't just go around blasting off spells, but needs to think of ways to use them to their best effect...kind of like Golbin Slayer did with that portal that he put at the bottom of the ocean and used like a water canon. Also seems like Goblin Slayer is not ready to let go of his past. |

| Episode 4 This goes to show just how goblins can strike in unexpected ways as they have comes out of the caverns to fight, all while they are capable of climbing trees, setting traps, and sneaking up behind adventurers. That part was about to be wiped out, but the wizard boy saves the day with his yell. While he would rather kill goblins, he has more pressing matters that he realizes that he needs to do before anything. And after the battle, the wizard decides he wants to do adventuring rather than go back to the academy and hopes to become a dragon slayer. Quite a humbling experience that was, but at least the wizard boy is now doing something that's more to his ability and moving past his desire for revenge as he just isn't fit to slay goblins. |
| The wizard has finally come around on his own, realizing that there are things he can do and things he cannot. And Priestess's work during the night has resulted in a promotion at last. |

| Goblin Slayer laughing and thinking of things other than killing Goblins? This season really is breaking his shell. I hadn't even noticed the change in studio until today, but it really stood out with Witch's design...then I noticed all of the rest of the characters while mostly looking like the White Fox version characters were a little less detailed. I actually like Lidenfilms other shows though, kind of unfortunate. |
| Very helpful of the goblins to dig tunnels big enough to drive a wagon through so the entire party could easily fit in them. Also, Goblin Slayer is slipping if Priestess needed to explain something that obvious to him about goblins. |
| Episode 5 Onto the next job, in which goblins are killed at a church in which most of the nuns were killed and the couple making the request wants to hold a wedding there. They find a stone tablet that's important to them, but just another rock to goblins. That tablet is taken into town for a priestess to read. And then the party goes riding down the river, and the goblins are there waiting to ambush them from the shores. Just more business here, but I can tell that there's something really important about the tablet. In the meantime, the party needs to get out of a jam. |
| High Elf Archer's sister is getting married, and she's invited her whole party to attend, plus Guild Girl and Cow Girl as well. After taking out some goblins at a church and delivering some clay tablets to Sword Maiden, it's down the river for the wedding. But even though they're ready for an ambush, a rockslide still comes their way. |

| At this point is he following the goblins or are the goblins following him? Given how many women are after him the least he can do is take off his helmet for the wedding. |

| Episode 6 The raft has come under siege by goblins on the gorge, but thanks to some shield magic and quick thinking that they make it through. And after setting up camp, the girls go play in the river while catching fish. Then the next day, they venture into the forest and arrive at the elf archer's home village in the woods. It's a good thing they came when they did as a giant dinosaur-looking monster has arrived to wreck the place. This episode had a bit of everything from fighting to swimsuits, and the journey along with the danger at the end. |
| So it was goblins after all, and they actually made a makeshift dam. After getting through that, the archer's future brother-in-law shows up and escorts them to the village. But now they've got to deal with what looks like a brachiosaurus. |

| It's interesting how in a lot of fantasy elves are depicted as either haughty or bigoted. I suppose that's intended as a counter to the adage, "With age comes wisdom". |

| Episode 7 The dinosaur invades, but gets tripped up after playing out a clever trap, and they manage to get it to stomp one of the goblins to death. After spending a night there, they have a feast, and then they seek out the goblins nest deep in the forest. To get there they need to cruise down the river, making them sitting ducks on the raft. They got a lift there and managed to make it to the labyrinth, and what the priestess sees is not a pretty sight. That's even more motivation to take those goblins out, but everybody agrees that they need to make the forest surrounding the elf forest a safe haven. |
| A goblin tried to command the huge beast, which means there's a nest nearby. After killing the goblin and subduing the beast, the group travels upriver to a dam that the goblins have turned into their hideout. Inside is a very gruesome sight, with lots of bodies everywhere, and there's a sense of determination to rout the goblins. Meanwhile, Sword Maiden has deciphered the tablet she was given. |

| @HOOfan_1 Not to mention the Goblins were blockading the river which is their main transit route. They don't seem to have much sense of self preservation. |
| Episode 8 That was quite the tough battle there against the leader of the pack, the goblin shaman. But despite being mainly a support unit, the priestess defeats it by casting her holy magic on its blood. After that, they retreat and the wedding goes off without a hitch. They came for the wedding, but ultimately ended up slaying goblins, but they had to do it. |
| That was an unusual way to use Purify. After the shaman was incapacitated, the group retreats and allows the traps they set to flood the whole place. The wedding goes off swimmingly, while that bit with the Hero implied that defeating the goblins at the dam had a small effect in helping them prevail in their own fight. |

| @marklebid It must have only turned some of it's blood into water and not all of it. Unless it survived and we see it again later I'm not sure why they would do that though, since it gets killed off right after. I actually thought that was a pretty cool way of killing it. |

| Episode 9 The party goes to sea to slay a sea monster, and no goblins were involved. And then the party escorts the archbishop, encountering goblins along the way, and these goblins are riding on wolves. It was a tough battle, but they managed to defeat them all. Then they arrive in town where after being asked about their identification and purpose of visiting, as well as showing off the Archbishop, they are allowed in. Not much happening here as it's just doing what adventurers do. |
| After slaying a sea serpent to help some fishmen, the party escorts Sword Maiden to the capital, slaying a bunch of goblins riding wolves while camping out. Escort missions can be quite troublesome sometimes, and it seems there are more goblin riders out there. |

| The art and animation was pretty inconsistent in this episode...mostly bad. Seems inconsistent from episode to episode. I don't get it LIDENFILMS is usually pretty solid |

| They fought something besides goblins. Nice. I think the Archbishop is secretly using some kind of magic to manipulate the movements of goblins so she has an excuse to go see GS as much as possible. |
