Episode 1 Just like with any other sentai show, the guy in red is the leader. After a tough final battle against the alien invaders, the Red Ranger falls in battle. But instead of going down, the guy who goes by Red gets isekaied into another world. After six months as an adventurer in this world, Red has been fighting monsters and kicking ass there as he can still morph into Kizuna Red while also having use of Megazord, and he becomes allies with the mage Yihdra, whose family used to be prestigious for their magecraft, but they fell into ruin and she's trying to rebuild it. While this whole sentai stuff is like magic, it's not, which is quite difficult for her to comprehend. So after defeating a dungeon boss to get the mana metal she's after, she decides to become and adventurer herself, mainly to observe Red. At the very least, this show has a pretty creative concept to mix sentai with fantasy. Whether or not it's sustainable is another thing seeing that while it's amusing at the start, stuff like this can get old really quickly. |

The Genre Clash here is fun. Just seeing the Mage trying to come to grips with everything about a Power Ranger "Why is that bracelet talking" "Where did that Armor come from" "Why are there Explosions" "WHY EXPLOSIONS" by the time he pulled out the Megazord, she was just "I give up, not even going to question this any more" Depending on how their power system works the rest of his team probably notices him accessing the entire Megazord, so they likely know he's alive somewhere. So we might be seeing them in the future |

I wish the animation was a little better for a show like this, but it's fun so far. The bonding theme for these rangers works for the sentai genre while being appropriately stupid and funny. I'm looking forward to more. |

The little 'plates' he uses are bandaids, and the group Adhesive Rangers is pun. Bansoukou 絆創膏 means an adhesive strip bandaid but it's written as bind+wound+plaster. The bind part is a "bond" also read on its own as kizuna. |

First episode was a pretty funny poke at the Sentai genre. I wonder if it will poke fun at isekais too |

I've read the first couple of arcs of the manga but so far I prefer the anime. The musical score and the performances of the seiyuu lift the material to another level IMO. Looking forward to watching more of this one |

One thing I would like to see in this show is that the other rangers make their way into this world. If I had to guess, I say they do and end up in very different parts of the world. Once word reaches to Red that his comrades are somewhere, he will go seek them out and eventually they are together again. Nevertheless, by the end of this season I would like to see word get out that at least one of the other rangers got isekaied. As for what roles they could take in their respective lands, Blue, who is an IT company president, is going to be a nobleman tactician, Green, a military guy, will most definitely be a soldier in one kingdom's army, Pink, a school girl who lives at a shrine, will be a priestess, and Yellow, a school teacher, will be a combat instructor to train her kingdom's army to fight. Whatever ends up happening, I do hope they remain relevant to this show, and this would be the best way to do so. |

So far this is my new Bang Bang Bravern but (again, so far) less gay. The music and effects voices and explosions are spot-on, and the Mage's reactions are awesome. I hope they can keep this up! |

That was great. Had me laughing multiple times. All his ranger was gear was hilarious and his over the top enthusiasm about every little thing is very fitting. |

My most anticipated anime is finally here, and it did not disappoint! Massive toku fan so you know I love the manga and it looks like this is gonna be a solid adaptation as well. Really hoping this gets popular so merch gets made. I need a DX Kizuna Kaizer immediately. |

Interesting concept, sentai based anime are usually fun. Surprised her cleavage is covered up in the promo art work. And normally I am a thick eyebrow fan but for some reason they don't work on her :/ (also thank you animators for actually flipping her skirt up when she was knocked head over heals) |

Episode 2 Red uses the lessons learned from fighting an enemy with tough skin her as he breaks out the V cannon, which the Kizuna Rangers used to defeat an ice monster. So Red's first quest takes him into a cave to battle golems, and the learns the hard way that the V cannon requires bond energy to power it up, which is lacking. But after Red gets beaten and the other two guys hold off the golem while Yihdra heals him, the energy was there to fire it. Once again, this mashup is pretty amusing all while this concept continues to be funny. |

It's like the Last Action Hero for sentai anime. Some literal lols from me. And personally, I think Idola's eyebrows are just as hot as those of Satsuki Kiryuin (whose figurine graces the top of my anime-watching monitor.) |

(1st episode) I was so sure the VA for the Female MC was the same as the one in I Got Married to the Girl I Hate Most in Class. Man, was I wrong. They sure do sound alike though. It's fairly good for me. The comical bits are quite predictable and tend to feel a tad bit off in timing and execution, but it lands anyway; The airheaded-ness of the MC is definitely the main punchline so far. |

After watching a clip on Youtube I decided to give the first episode a try. I liked it, but I'm not sure how long I'll stick with it. I'm not a fan of sentai though I am enjoying how it's poking fun at the genre's tropes. Going to depend on if it keeps leaning into satire or starts to turn into a normal sentai. |

Aaand I'm out after Ep2. Leaning way too hard into being a sentai for my taste plus Idola's constant blushing around Red gets on my nerves. |

Episode 3 Red moves into Yihdra's mansion seeing that he's flat broke and can't afford his own place. As he moves in, the princess Teltina comes in with a request to deal with Shau'ha, who has been manipulating the nobles behind the scenes. As desperate a situation it is, Teltina's bodyguard Lowji won't let Red get near the princess seeing how he's so rude and all. So Red and Lowji have a duel, and while Lowji is strong. Red brings out the Megazord, which is only used against giant monsters for a reason as it has a hard time hitting humans. But he uses the wind from swinging the giant sword to blow him away. So it's off to confront Shau'ha, and the first stop is Akalina, which has become dump thanks to the town's lord Lurguat getting a mana seed that allows him to summon a monster in a person's blind spot. That was a pretty funny duel there with Megazord against Lowji going to show why it's only used against giant monsters and not regular people or other monsters their size. Anyway, this world has a lot of corruption brewing. |

Episode 4 Lowji continues to be distrustful of Red seeing that he even goes as far as to steal his bond plate to keep him from transforming so that Lowji can be the one and only hero. Of course, while Lowji is strong with use of those holy swords named after the Seven Deadly Sins, he alone wasn't enough to take out all those enemies at the lord's house. However, Red got his bond plate back, and together Red and Lowji take down the lord and his henchmen. That would have been the end of him, if it weren't for the Mana Seed, that is, as he transforms into a giant monstrosity about to destroy the town. Lowji needed to learn the hard way that you can never have too many heroes, but at least he saw firsthand why Red as called upon to help out. |

Episode 5 Red unleashes his Megazord, and sends that mana seed monstrosity up into space to take it down to spare the town. But then the guy who spread those seeds, Abudabi, appears and turns the resistance into his mindless monsters. But Teltina summons her cute giant dog friend to eat the seeds, but it takes quite a big toll on Teltina. And then Shau'ha appears, but she's not as evil and heartless as Yihdra made her out to be seeing that she's helping Teltina out in a time of need. Something diabolic is going on in this world, and just when one problem is solved, another one props up just like that. |

Episode 6 It turns out that Yihdra and Shau'ha have dueling visions of how they want magic and mana seeds to be used as while Yihdra wants everybody to be able to use it, Shau'ha wants only those high-up to have access to it, and Shau'ha does have a valid point that Red admits, but Red is siding with Yihdra on her vision, albeit not in the way it's currently structured. Yihdra's misunderstanding causes her to flee, but Red followed her to clear the situation. And then Red somehow ends up in the bathtub while Yihdra is bathing. And there's also conflict of interest in the kingdom as well seeing that Dariel and Teltina have very different takes on the mana seeds as Teltina saw firsthand just how dangerous the mana seeds are, but Dariel wants to weaponize them. Things are bound to get ugly, but at least everybody has their point. |

Given how all the other shows are on a downhill trend I am enjoying this more and more. Just look at those exterior shots of the castle and town, those are usually generic horribly drawn shots that a lot of the time weren't even drawn by someone who knows about perspective let alone architecture. This was detailed right down to the grating in the windows, then even redid it covered in snow. They must have outsourced it to one of those animation studios that specialize in backgrounds, add the to the CGI and this show has quite the budget. Not only that but this show actually has a coherent plot and non generic villains and protagonists. Plus Yihdra and Red's little romance is actually cute. |

Episode 7 Onto the next town as they head out to a place that used to be a forest, but has now turned into a desert, and it's being run by a madman with a mana seed in Azir, who runs the nearby town of Kukuja after his father died, and is after the Amen that Raniya possesses. So Yihdra and Teltina are wearing new outfits to blend in with the place, and they end up in a cactus forest where Yihdra gets kidnapped, and Lowji and Teltina are attacked by elves led by Raniya, who can transform herself into somebody like Kamen Rider. Raniya is quite the formidable fighter as an Amen, but in the end they were able to understand each other seeing that the red warrior of prophecy has arrived as they call him. Given what they are up against that it's crucial that they get along. That was a nice way to bring a Kamen Rider into this world, all while the girls look cute in their new outfits. |

Episode 8 And now, Red explains his backstory seeing that Raniya used to be friends with Azir until he became corrupted by the mana seeds. As such, a special opening is played, and the story of Red and Kiyohiro is told as they were longtime friends. Red was looking to become a soccer player, while Kiyohiro became a pianist, and things were going well. That is, until Kiyohiro didn't feel appreciated by his father, and after that he was turned into Bondkiller by Betrayis, and a monster that the Kizuna Rangers fought. It took 13 fights, but Red and Kiyohiro were able to restore their friendship, though that's all ancient history now that Red is no longer of that world. So from the look of things, Raniya and company will look to bring Azir back to his old self rather than to take him down, but in the meantime they have a big problem on their hands with all the elves being trapped in those cards that fell from the sky. |

@HOOfan_1 The mech itself and the '12,000 years'. I remember the 12,000 from the Aquarion Genesis OP refrain, "10,000 and 2,000 more years ago." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4hGqvgopIBg I don't think I finished any of the Aquarions but the song was good. |

Episode 9 One of Azir's minions had been trapping everybody in those cards, but Yihdra had the foresight to place an explosive spell on her card before she was absorbed, which doesn't faze her one bit seeing that she's used to being close to explosions, and she freed everybody, while Teltina's wolf took care of him. And with that, comes the boss battle against Azir, and he has the power to control sand. He sends everybody below ground, while Raniya transforms to battle him. But it turns out that Azir can transform as well after he knocks out Raniya. Those two have quite a long history with each other as Raniya was quite the fan of masks that she would wear them all the time before Azir convinced her not to do it. Of course, times are different now that the mana seed has corrupted that guy. So now it's a ranger battling a Kamen Rider to settle things once and for all. |

Episode 10 So the one who gave Azir that power was none other than his "butler" Vidal. After stealing Raniya's transformation mechanism to become Amen Rider himself, he attacks Red and company having been weakened by the sand that is spiked with mana that he sprinkled everybody with. But Lowji's sword absorbs the sand's mana and everybody can move again. And then they defeat Azir with the Kizuna cannon, but then the sand emerges with a mind of its own and threatens the Sun Forest. So Red summons the Megazord again to try and stop that rampaging sandstorm. After that, a long explanation on how this team was formed. And it's because of this long segment at the end that the story didn't move forward much, but there was plenty of action to be had. |

Episode 11 Just like that, the heroes band together bring Azir back to his senses. But just as one threat is dealt with, another shows up right when the heroes are exhausted from their previous battle as Vidan orchestrated all of this, for a rather idiotic reason. This demon is looking to resurrect his mother so that he can marry her, which is quite delusional, and even more so for somebody who has lived for thousands of years. And also showing up is another fellow demon general in Abudabi, who has the heroes on the ropes that prompts Red to do something he hoped to never have to use, turning into Kizuna Black that gives him great power, but also eats away at his mental healthy as he orders Lowji to kill him if he loses control of himself. One more episode left to go. |

Episode 12 (Finale) Before getting back to the climatic battle, it's another segment featuring the rest of the Kizuna Rangers back in Japan as the teacher and student are fighting over who gets to be Pink. And after Red becomes Black, it goes back into the past to introduce Kizuna Silver, and even though she's part of the team, they are still the Kizuna Five as Silver operates independently, and not long after joining she got KIA'd. That's the side-effect of turning into Kizuna Black as it reminds him of all his dark moments in life to make him go berserk. He easily overpowers Vidan to the point where they were forced to retreat. And then Raniya and company work together and Lowji removes the black transformation plat to bring Red back to his senses. With that, a new Kizuna Five has been formed. As for what's left of the old Kizuna Five, they no longer need to fight with the Relationship Enders eradicated, but they find out that Red is still alive somewhere seeing that the data is telling them that their Zords are still being summoned. And then it ends with the big bad of this show being revealed as Maman is the mastermind behind the mana seeds. In any case, this show is over, but the battle continues and while I was hoping the rest of Red's buddies would appear in this world, at the very least they know that Red is still alive somewhere. Final Thoughts This show has one of the most creative ideas in smashing two genres together with sentai and isekai. This made for an entertaining and amusing show. The show does a great job with the action, comedy, and soundtrack as those things alone made it worthwhile to watch. That said, this show's storytelling is all over the place, and in particular the frequent need to cut back to the past and spend too much time with it to the point where it compromises the main story. So to put things into perspective, show has the stylistic aspects down, but the substance is another matter entirely as the story overemphasizes its gimmicky nature and the story writing suffers from it. But in the grand scheme of things it's still an entertaining show to watch for the show's creative concept. Grade: C+ (7/10) |
