My laptop is 1280x800p, so there is a difference of at least 80p if I watch 1280x720p videos. Not much, but there is a difference. With anime, it's less of a problem because you don't get the black bars constraining movie vids (which do have a very visible difference, because the black bars are less constrained in 1080p movie vids). So, with anime, it's not that affecting to watch 720p videos.

My laptop can't handle 1080p.. only got 1366 x 768.. Most laptops can't run 1080p

Even if it could I probably wouldn't watch many things in that high of quality.. The file size would be too annoying to download and 720p is just as nice in the long run if you ask me.

Plus I only download shows that REALLY deserve to be seen in 720p (madoka magica for example)

I prefer 720p anime on my laptop, since it has 1280x800 max resolution, there' not much of a point going 1080p. And it tends to get laggy.

I downloaded baccano! on 1080p for my laptop and it lagged like a bitch, and my desktop has the shittiest video card which freezes my computer with high resolution videos and video games. So i'll go with 720p.

If it's a show I really like and the 1080p isn't a shitty upscale, then I'll watch the 1080p on my TV.
720p is good enough considering my laptop res though.

For me, max 720p. 1080p is too much for my laptop (not using it anyway).

720p cuz i only have 1366x768 on my laptop so 1080p is sorta pointless.
But for especially good anime i always archive the 1080p

720p. I think my laptop specs are too crappy to handle 1080p. Poor thing would most likely explode.

Besides, my screen is 1280x800. I don't see the point of running 1080p on such screen. :P I don't even use a external monitor/TV, so yeah.

exactly like that guy

I use 720p on both my laptop and large creen computer.
Once I downloaded a series in 1080p (didn't look at the info) and ended up making the window smaller each time Iwatched it, not to mention it made my poor computer lag :(

My 18.4'' laptop screen is 1920x1080p, so I try and get 1080p anime where possible.
