Finally finished this. It was great, all the girls are great (tough break for Rose at the end) and Cid is the coolest chun'y dork ever. Can't wait for more :)

So I'm finally getting around to watching this, and after 3 episodes... I don't really get it (yet?).

Cid seems like an isekai'd Hachiman with his crushing levels of cynicism, and yet he fronts this secret all-female crime fighting team that's battling some imaginary organization? Why? And they just randomly disbanded?

Having trouble wrapping my head around the premise. And the art style and character designs are so cookie-cutter isekai fare.

I'd say he's more like an isekaid Saitama from One Punch Man

The entire point is that he is a chuuny, and he knows he is a chuuny. He wanted to be a hero in his old world, and he wants to be a hero in the new world, but he kind of wants it to be batmanesque, where no one knows who he is.

In his mind, he made up the diablo cult and all the people he is fighting are just corrupt nobles and run of the mill bandits. He believes his group of girls are just humoring his delusions, when in fact the diablo cult is in fact real.

They didn't disband, they left Cid's side to go fight the diablo cult in other places around the world. In Cid's mind they are tired of playing along with is delusions, so they are going to go live their own lives, while still making him believe they are playing along with him.

The show is both a parody of Isekai and fantasy shows, while also actually having a serious element to it.

Thanks for the rundown. I'll give it a few more eps to see if it clicks with me.
