General announcements will also be made in this thread, if deemed necessary. • Complementary Information • -•~•~•- Since I can only share discussions once every week or so, a lot of the content I work on and make available to you all will probably not be seen by some members. To prevent this and to make sure that those of you that want to be notified when new content is out can have a way to be informed, I decided to create this thread. Think of it as a Newsletters of sorts, but instead of having it delivered to you, you will be notified when it is available. Credits to Volume_Zero for the idea/suggestion to make newsletters, which led me to decide to create this thread - thank you! ♡＾▽＾♡ (only random or special card editions will be shared, if I even remember to do it >_>) As of right now, there are 3 Editions that will be available every month. • 1 Monthly Edition [Official Member Cards (O.M.C.)] • 2 Weekly Editions [Request-A-Waifu & Suggest-A-Waifu] • Other random Editions (eventually) I will announce (make a new post) here whenever a new week/month/edition becomes available. Card Editions' frequency of availability are subject to change without notice. So far I've been able to keep up with managing this club (and being active in other clubs) and everything IRL, but unexpected events may occur, so I'll post here if that ever happens. -•~•~•- -•~•~•- Hey everyone! I hope you guys are doing good during these tough times. -•~•~•- This is a serious announcement. I am informing you all that I will be going on hiatus starting right now. There are various reasons as to why I have decided to take some time off of MAL and card making, most of them are personal and I don't want to bother you all with the details, but let's just say that the main reason is that I am feeling very mentally exhausted from having to (try to) keep up with IRL stuff and my various responsibilities on MAL at the same time. Consequently, I will be taking time off to rest and recuperate, and mentally reset myself, so that I can eventually come back and run things here again. I don't know how long this hiatus period will last, maybe a few weeks, maybe a couple months, only time will tell. I'm going to be closing my editions that are currently opened and available (leaving GokuKugo's opened). I will be naming and delivering the cards for these editions shortly and the remainder of October's editions will either be deleted or one of our other card makers will make cards for them (I will be leaving the decision to them). This may be sudden for some of you, some of you may also have noticed that I was taking more time than usual to deliver cards (or post the editions), this was due to my mental state as of late and all these other issues I'm currently facing and working on. I will also share with you all that I've been feeling bored of making & designing cards as of late, so taking a break from it was the only option I could come up with to prevent myself from beginning to feel like it was work/a chore, instead of a fun and creative hobby (as it should be). I want to thank everyone who's joined this club and helped me take it to where it is right now. I loved being able to interact with you guys and appreciated all the feedback you provided me on each and every card edition I put out. -•~•~•- -•~•~•- Hello everyone! :D -•~•~•- This is an announcement to let you all know that I'm going to start making cards again for the W.A.C.! :> I'll be revising my approach to the card making strategy that was in place, and start over. Firstly : Instead of making new threads and new designs for every waifu (which was very exhausting and time consuming), there's only going to be 3 main threads, which will be more manageable for me : • The O.M.C. thread (already in place - might update design) • The Request-A-Waifu thread (new design) • The Suggest-A-Waifu thread (new design) * The new threads will open this weekend, as well as the (old) O.M.C. thread! ** In addition to those 3 main threads, random special editions (SE) and member milestones editions will also be available whenever there's opportunities for them. Secondly : The amount of cards for each edition will drop drastically. Instead of making 10+ cards per edition, which was relatively time-consuming, especially when I wasn't able to find decent Art to work with. I'm going to limit myself to a respectable range of number of cards for each thread, as follows : • The O.M.C. thread : 1 to 3 cards • The Request-A-Waifu thread : 2 to 5 cards (+Bonus for requester) • The Suggest-A-Waifu thread : 2 to 5 cards Thirdly : Furthermore, new "rule" for requests : everyone gets all the cards when they submit a valid form. I've found it's much more simple for me to name the cards and everyone is happy to get all the cards, so it's basically a win-win situation for me and all of you ;-) You may ask, then what's the point of sending request forms if you're naming all the cards anyway? To answer that, here are the reasons : • Some people may want a different username to appear on the card; • I don't know if all 340+ people in the club are card collectors, and I'm not going to make 340+ cards every week; • I can't magically know where you want your cards delivered; • It allows for you to interact with me and give feedback on each card design. (There may be more reasons, but these are enough to justify the need for request forms) Lastly : I'm also going to take some time during the following days/weeks to update some of the club's threads, since some of them haven't been revised in quite some time.
