The Chirmera Ant arc is the best arc in my opinion and the narrator was perfect for a serious anime arc.

There's a difference between a good, serious narrator and one who describes in painstaking detail that the octopus and assassin child are friends for like ten minutes that could've been conveyed by the real time ten second scene. And that's not an isolated case. Almost every notable moment in the arc is undercut by a narrator who borderlines on parody. It brings the arc down by a lot.

it's riddled with holes, that's why. A lot of people have rose-tinted glasses strapped to their faces and selectively only remember the highs, conveniently forgetting that the first half of the arc is boring as hell a lot of the time, that the whole thing drags, that the narrator is so bad it's like he's trying to parody himself and he never stops, etc.

It also has some of the lowest lows of the series, though. And having what, 30 episodes that drag like hell matters. We're rating the whole arc here. An entire half of the longest arc in the show sucking? That's gonna bring it down

i clearly mentioned about it having lows as well but those were not enough to make it the worst arc in the whole show,if you are rating the arc as a whole it may not be a masterpiece but its definitely not even close to being the worst in the show not when it also has such highs,cause arcs like greed island and zoldyck family were just decent to below average throughout.once again im not saying chimera arc is a masterpiece i know this arc has several issues but its not the "worst " in hxh

chimera ant arc made me want to gouge my eyes out in boredom, fall asleep, and wake up the next day just to drop the show before I passed away

slow pacing isnt a flaw lol if you cant pay attention because its not exciting every episode thats your own fault, and if you didnt like the narrator fair enough but i thought he was perfect. still am yet to see any decent criticism except for people self owning their shitty attention spans

It's not an issue of attention span, it's the show not respecting the audiences' intelligence through constantly explaining what's going on when most people don't need it, dragging it out. That's boring, slow, and monotonous. And that's a flaw.

Zoldyck arc if that would even qualify since it barely felt like its own arc being 4 episodes long and felt more attached on to the hunter exam arc than being standalone. Greed island would be the runner-up and the bomberman villain dude was laughably generic. Even at it's worst though Hunter x hunter 2011 is still a great show to watch.
