| Just finished the show and I still don't know why they look the same. I thought he was summoned into a new body so why is his face the same as it was before his death? |

Thay was just what i thought. Honestly, i thought that we were still in the present until episode 7 when i decided to read rhe novel and found out that it was a flashback. this but tbh is because I was watching it without subs, and i though to myself "ok this isn't making any sense", so i decided to read the episode summary on Wikipedia after episode 6. literally had to go back to the end of episode two to find when the flash back happened |
