Manga featuring MC's GF death

Hello !

I'm currently looking for a manga (prefered) or an anime featuring the MC's girlfriend death near the beggining, or at least not near the end. The perfect setting would be the girlfriend dying, another girl makes the MC hers while he is still in despair.
I'm thinking about something like

I know it doesn't totally fits the "perfect setting" but it has some great elements I'm looking for.

I hope this request is not too weird (>_<)

P.s. these type of themes are pretty rare. I remember, when the truck kun happened in fuuka, many rage quitted it.
Not many authors would love to drown their sales.

I started the anime a long time ago (only watched 2 eps), but I think I will read the manga this time instead. I appreciate your help :D
