| Sei Sei wandered the shopping mall rather aimlessly. "I wonder what this masquerade ball is?" he mused after seeing several posters about. It seemed like a school event that was approaching quickly, and although Sei wasn't one for social events, he thought a masquerade would be a fine way to meet others. Sei spotted a black and gold mask that immediately took to his fancy and he tried it on. It fit perfectly. The jackal-head reminded him of Anubis, the Egyptian God of Death, and the elongated snout of the mask allowed him to breath a little easier, much to his surprise. "I'll take it," he told the shop owner, fishing out his wallet from his jacket pocket. Now, he toted the mask in a plastic bag, looking for something suitable to wear to the ball. He wished he had someone to help him out - he usually avoided formal wear. Plus, his sense of fashion was usually to wear whatever was comfortable, so he wasn't sure which brands to buy, much less what went with the mask. |

After a bit of time looking around the store Kat finds something she thinks Asuka might look so she goes over too her and says Hey, Asuka come here for a sec. I think I may have found something you might like." Once they get there she pulls out a long sparkly orange dress with a few frills at the bottom. "Well what do you think? Or is it not really your style?" She asked her friend. |

| Rintarou Akiyama Rintarou follow behind the girls, still carrying all the stuff that he gathered from earlier. He keeps quiet, letting the two girls enjoy their time together, secretly relieved that someone else will be able to help Katsue. "Well, they seem to be enjoying themselves." he thought to himself, smiling as he found a place nearby to wait. |
| Yamato Both Yamato and Cilia finally arrived at the shopping center after leaving the school grounds and taking the bus leading them to the nearest bus station to the shopping center, at least this time he could remember where the place was compared to last time when they came together with Adriano and Luna. "No matter how many times I look at this place it's always so huge... and crowded" he said as he was pushed by someone that was passing by, he looked over at Cilia slightly concerned over her issue with crowds, the difference now was that they where pretty close together so maybe it would't be a problem. "Okay let's look for the sunblock and then the masks or costumes for that ball" Yamato said in a cheerful tone taking a step forward towards the shopping center together with Cilia. |
| Cilia Lawthorne Having arrived at the shopping center, Cilia was slightly apprehensive at first. However, Yamato's presence calmed her down, allowing her to adopt a more cheery disposition. Nodding in agreement on Yamato's comment about the center, Cilia held his arm as they went to buy what they needed. The last time they had been here, they had bought swimsuits for the swimming pool the went to. Cilia began wondering if that is when she began liking Yamato. Thinking about this only reminded her of the talk she had with him at the pool, when they hugged. That had been the first time she felt what she now knew was love. Blushing at the thought, Cilia said. "Yeah. Let's go." At the moment, the memories she was having were making her too happy to say anything else. |
Asuka Kotori After Katsue said to look around Asuka nodded happily, then she skipped to a nearby dress rack and started browsing through it. It didnt take loke till Katsue called her over, though. When Asuka got by her side the girl showed her the dress, making her eyes sparkle. - Woaaaah, so pretty! Imma go check it out. she said, then she quickly turned around and went for the dressing room. It didnt take hee long to come out wearing the dress. - Ta-daaaah, what do you say? she asked Katsue and Rintarou with a smile before she twirled around once |

| Yamato They started making their way through the crowd of people and it really felt like they where a couple as Cilia grabbed onto his arm and they where walking close together, arriving at their first stop which was the pharmacy, it wasn't as crowded as the rest of the shopping center which made it easier for them to move around but it still had people buying stuff. "Is there something else we need to buy from here?" he asked as he grabbed a sun block from the stand and looked at Cilia. |

| Cilia Lawthorne Holding on to Yamato's arm, Cilia made her way with him to a pharmacy. Like the rest of the center, the area was filled with people. But the inside of the pharmacy was not as crowded, which brought a bit of relief to Cilia. "I think that is all for now." she replied to Yamato, who had picked out a sunscreen for her. There really wasn't much that she needed. At that moment, Cilia then felt a sharp pain assault her chest. It was like a knife being plunged into her, something she had experienced before. Stiffening, she grimaced as the pain got worse, only to vanish moments later. "What the hell was that?" Cilia thought as she gripped Yamato's arm tighter, a small amount of sweat lining her forehead. Having never experienced that sudden chest pain before, she grew concerned. But remembering who she was with, she relaxed a bit. Turning to look at Yamato, she smiled. "If something happens, he will do everything he can to help me." she thought. Cilia was still trying to think of what could have caused the sudden pain. |

| Yamato Yamato was about to walk towards the cash register when he stopped at the feeling of the grab on his arm tightening up slightly, he turned to look at Cilia but her face didn't show any signs of discomfort or the sort so maybe it was just his imagination. The only thing that tipped him off was her expression as if she where deep in thought, "Is something wrong?" he asked casually wondering why she was standing still, it wasn't something too unusual for her to be thinking about stuff but this time she really seemed invested on it. |
| Cilia Lawthorne Cilia became apprehensive of Yamato's question. Whatever that pain had been, she could not allow him to worry about her. Quickly thinking of a reply, she said. "I was just thinking about your power. Remember that talk we had in the pool? When you showed me your power? I was thinking about why you may not have much control over it. But that's a topic for another time." The tone she uses clearly shows that she was trying to avoid a topic. The very weak smile she gave him only added to that. Cilia really wanted to avoid bringing up the pain, but if Yamato asked, she would have no option but to tell. Although she felt deep down that she would be happy if he did so. Her mind was also coming closer to a conclusion about the potential source of her pain. |

She grinned from ear to ear when she noticed a formal-wear store that was relatively popular in Japan. She made her way inside the store, "Come on! I'll buy my dress here! Maybe they have masks as well." She began shuffling through the dresses of an assortment of colors. |

She glances up at the two boys and smiles as she held up the dresses. "Which one?" she said simply. She figured that their opinion would help her decide. |

"I quite like that one, the design is simple but pretty. It also brings out the vibrant color of your eyes. Don't you think so, Zahk?" Sei grinned, nudging Zahk with his elbow. "Have you found a mask yet, Ruri?"Sei asked. "If not, I think I see one that might suit you, if you don't mind my opinion." |

| Sei Sei got the feeling that Zahk was embarrassed enough as it was, so he left and picked up a nearby mask. "I thought you might like this one. Of course," Sei added hurriedly "I don't presume to know what you like or don't like, but I just thought this one looked nice and I had the idea that maybe your clone could wear the same mask, just inversed." Sei checked to see if it was the right size and handed Ruri the mask. |

Ruri Uehara ---------- Ruri rubbed the back of her neck and blushed lightly at the compliment, "Hehehe... don't be silly. I didn't even try them on. Thanks, though." Ruri was quite embarrassed by such a bold compliment that she just went ahead with the first one. She liked the cut that stopped abover her knee and assumed it would be more comfortable for the kind of girl she was. Long gowns were always prettier, but they had a habit of getting in Ruri's way. She glances over as Sei came back from wandering the story. She couldn't help but feel like he reminded her of a kitten. Quiet, soft-spoken and a wanderer. She smiled and decided to speak her thoughts, "Sei, did anybody ever tell you that you have cat-like traits to you?" As she spoke she gently took the mask from his hand and looked at the silver and blue butterfly mask thoughtfully. |

| Sei Sei tilted his head and scratched his ear, stopping abruptly to answer the question. "Funny you should say that. I have been called cat-like. Even more so since my eyes turn gold when I use my powers." He didn't tell her that his mother called him Star Cat as a pet name, or that the village boys used to call him Cheshire or Black Cat. "I liked to climb trees a lot too," He also left out the fact that he climbed mostly because the other boys who would bully him couldn't climb the tall peach trees like he could. Sei blew a strand of black hair out of his eyes. He hadn't really had many friends before, and he hoped to change that at this new school. Hopefully he was making a good impression. He liked Ruri. She seemed easygoing and friendly, bubbly even. It was relaxing to be able to talk freely with someone. Sei liked Zahk too, but he was slightly nervous around the guy. After all, Zahk was bigger, and from the way Zahk acted and from his backstory, he had been through many more hardships than Sei ever imagined to face. Sei was pretty sure Zahk could snap him in half like a twig. But seeing Zahk's softer side helped him to relax. He thought they were an interesting trio. His stomach rumbled loudly and he flushed. "Guess I'm hungry," He said. "You guys want something to eat?" |

| Yamato "Hmm, the reason why I can't control my powers..." he said in a pensive manner, it was strange how his power in occasions wouldn't be in control but he wasn't sure why that might be the case, like certain moments it would go out of control while at others it would be perfectly fine like that time in the pool. Well he could figure that out another time, "If anything else is on your mind don't hesitate to tell me" Yamato said in a cheerful tone as he pulled Cilia towards the cash register to pay for the sun block all while having a smile on his face, it was kinda new going out and buying stuff with Cilia which made him happy at the thought of it. |
| Cilia Lawthorne Seeing Yamato take the her answer seriously, Cilia sighed internally. "I can't keep that a secret forever. But I can't let it ruin this moment with him." she thought as Yamato bought the sunblock for her in the register. The cheerful tone Yamato used when he said to not hesitate to tell him anything made her feel both happy and sad at the same time. Happy because he was truly concerned about her. But sad because she was withholding information from him. His smile only added more to the sadness. "Perhaps I should not withhold it." Cilia thought. A seed of doubt was growing within her, along with the conclusion as to the source of the pain. "Actually, Yamato. There is something I need to tell you." she said in a nervous tone as she stopped him. She needed and had to tell him. |

| Yamato Once again Yamato was stopped in his tracks before he could move on to their next stop. He turned over to look at Cilia that was standing still, holding his hand, "Hmm, yes?" he asked wondering why she seemed so troubled. It was a bit worrying seeing her so nervous, he held her hand a bit tighter to reassure her that he was there for her. |
| Cilia Lawthorne Any hesitation Cilia had of telling Yamato about the pain was crumbled by his words and his tightened grip on her hands. She felt glad that he was with her. "I am sorry. I lied to you, Yamato." she said. Her tone was serious, with a small twinge of dejection in her voice. After a pause, to let her statement sink in, she continued."'When you stopped me some moments ago, to ask me what was wrong. I said that I was thinking about your powers. I was......but I only used it so I would not have to tell you about something else. The truth is that when we were in there, I experienced a very bad pain in my chest. One that had never occurred before. And I am afraid of what it could be. Although I have some guesses, I am not sure." Finishing saying this, Cilia released a sigh. She was berating herself for having thought of keeping the issue to herself. "He said he'd be there for me, and the first thing I think is to lie to him." Her thoughts were only amplifying the feeling of self-loathing she had at the moment. She gripped Yamato's hand even more, looking and hoping for support. |

Seth Magnus  Seth had led the way from the School Garden all the way into town and to the Shoppinf Center, walking inside like a boss. As soon as she got inside she stopped a bit, putting her fists on her hips as she looked around, then she let out a "hmph" with a smile while pulling lower her signature cap before she turned to Vayne. -So? Where to first? she asked him |

She nods in agreement as she was walking towards the exit of the mall. She swung her shopping bag gently in her hand as she walked by their side, "You guys should lead the way since I'm not very familiar with this place." |

| Yamato He looked at her with a confused expression, "Lied to me?" he said in a low tone not understanding what exactly she lied about until she continued although her next words confused him a bit more and made him feel worried. "Pain in your chest? Are you okay? What do you think might be the cause for it?" he bombarded Cilia with questions wanting to know what was possibly happening with her but maybe this just seemed like he was panicking which was entirely possible. He held both of her hands on his own looking her in her eyes, he had an expression of worry, he didn't mind at all that she was maybe gonna keep this from him since sometimes everyone has something they want to keep to themselves, but maybe if she wouldn't have told him about it he would've felt even more worried. |

| Cilia Lawthorne As Yamato asked her a series of questions one after another, Cilia felt her self-loathing fade slightly. She was glad that Yamato had not lashed out at her, however unlikely the chances of that happening would be. As he held her hands and stared at her eyes, Cilia felt calm, which allowed her to compose her thoughts. "I am alright at the moment. However, I do not know when it will return, if it does." she said in the most controlled voice she could muster. She was a bit unsettled at the moment. "As for the cause, I told you I was a research experiment some time ago." Her mind momentarily remembers the time she showed Yamato the serial number tattoo on her leg in the swimming pool. "It is very likely that the source of the pain is that. Although exactly why is something I don't know." Remembering a way to contact the facility, Cilia brightened up and smiling, said. "There is a way to contact the facility. I will report this to them. They may be able to help me figure this out." It was ironic that hours ago she had said she would not follow the facility anymore, yet here she was, needing their help. The thought made her laugh out of frustration internally. |
