| D.D. nodded as she gave Haruka a hand and carried Fubuki over to the sick bay. How much longer will that body of his last... |

| The walk towards the sick bay was a quiet one. Haruka who appeared to be consumed deep in thought, abruptly bit her lower lip. The sudden pressure seemed to dull the sick feeling she had in her stomach. He's going to die.. She swallowed hard, tears formed at her eyes again. Maybe it wouldn't happen today or tomorrow, but eventually he was going to. She didn't want to admit it to herself but it only seemed logical. Her right hand gripped around his shirt tighter. There's always a chance you know... She continued to tremble, but she had stopped crying now. They had reached the sick bay, and Haruka glanced at D.D for what to do next. |
| D.D. opened the electronic door as there are many medical supplies on the lab benches. Many of the functions were known only to the doctors here. D.D. carried Fubuki over and laid him down on the bed as she came out. The door closed locked. "Not much we can do right now..." she told Haruka, looking really depressed. |

| Haruka nodded her head solemnly as her eyes drifted back to the locked door. Like D.D had said, there was not much they could do now. “D.D, I'm going to write up the report... I'll be back later.” she said aggrievedly as she turned and walked away. |
| Before Haruka can walk far, D.D. quickly ran up to her and grabbed her by the shoulders. "Haruka...stay next to him, please...he has found a reason to live. Before he met you, his missions have never failed. There were times he would be running shoulder to shoulder with death in order to complete missions. If he sees you, then it would encourage him to live! So you can do it! Please!" D.D. lowered her head and begged. |

| At D.D's words her body froze, a tight pressure slowly began building in her chest. Haruka stared at D.D sympathetically but she looked just as upset as her. “You can't possibly know that...h-he wouldn't want to live just because of me. We...I mean he probably has other reasons to...” Haruka had started to answer her but didn't finish. She looked down helplessly, her eyes averted from D.D “I'm staying...don't worry.” she whispered finally. |
| D.D.'s nearly crying face suddenly changed to a smile and held both hands of Haruka, then started to shake them. "Thank you! Its ok, he lost pretty much most emotions long ago, but probably the so called love still exists...!" she explained with a smile. |

| Haruka smiled faintly at D.D's sudden change in spirit. Her breathing had become more collected now as she noticed that her own mood also seemed lifted. “Then I'll make him feel that emotion again..” She commented quietly to herself with a smirk, not realizing that her voice was still audible to D.D |

| Hearing that D.D. did not directly reply but just left a smile. "Alrighty then, I have some stuff to do...see you later!" she saluted and ran off. |

| “What, .. your leaving? But what am I supposed to do?” Haruka asked slightly stunned as D.D took off without a response. Sighing repressively from a mix of both tiredness and confusion she sat down on the floor, hugging both her arms securely around her knees. Her eyes then resumed their gaze on the locked door at the other side of the room. Since it was likely that whatever kind of operation he needed to undergo would take a long period of time, there wasn't much she could do right now. |
