Spirits are souls of dead people and other lifeforms. Without spirits, people from continent of Ba wouldnt be able to use their soul powers. Spirits cannot interact with physical world, unless used in MFS.

Spirits have ranks and classes. They show the power of spirit, and how much slots you need to bond with one. (see mind stat).
You can have as many spirits as you want, as long as you have slots to bond with them.

Classes:
plant- weak spirits but with no ego, so easily higher in ranks.
animal- moderate spirits with little ego.
human - powerfull spirits with huge ego, thus hard to advance in ranks.

Ranks:
ranks are power classifications. a spirit starts with MIN rank and goes all the way to ULT. this process takes centuries, but it depends on how quick the spirit gives up his/her ego.the faster it gives up on ego, the faster it advances in ranks. (thats why most nature spirits are ULT

MIN - all spirits start with this. they look excatly like they looked alive.
MED- spirits that gave up on a bit of ego, so gain some characteristics of their soul. (like changes in appearance, or gains an elemental affinity)
MAX - spirits with little ego, with great amount of strength. These spirits have changed a lot from their original form
ULT- the highest rank. These spirits became part of the world, and are capable of the most powerful MFS's. They reflect their soul.

Name of spirit: Fowl
Owner: Wan Yakata
Age and gender: was 10 when died, died 200 years ago;male
Class, rank, slots taken: MED animal spirit; 4 out of 10 slots taken.
Appearance:

Bio: Fowl is an owl that lived in Sacred forest of Yakata, until it was invaded by Nortaks. Since then, it serves under Yakata clan. During evolution to MED spirit, Fowl grew bigger, gained incredible flight powers, and learned to speak.
Personality: Altough it can speak, it mostly remains silent. Fowl serves to Wan unquestionably, but starts all fired up when someone is hurting nature.

Name of spirit: Mizuka
Owner: Wan Yakata
Age and gender: was 3 when died, died 500 years ago;male
Class, rank, slots taken: MAX animal spirit; 6 out of 10 slots taken.
Appearance: looks like a fish formed out of water.
Bio: he was an eel, who lived in the ocean around the Ba. He died in natural death, and kept being at the ocean. After evolving, he gets water element atrributes. He was later captured by Wan and serves as his slave.
Personality: he is quite wrathful and full of untamed water power.
