| adam frowned. "What is it?" |
| "Oh, um....well that does come as a shock...." Adam said. "Although I think after being shot I think I can handle something like that." He added slightly nervously. |
| "Well, if it means Lucas could go out in daylight again..." |
| Adam followed. Lucas looked up when they came inside. "So, did Tesa lay her demon mojo on you?" He asked Adam. He nodded. "Yeah, actually. It was pretty cool." |
| "You two were standing out on the porch for quiet some time." Said Lucas. "Any particular reason?" "No, nothing." Adam said dismissively. |
| "Uh...if you say so." "So, where'd Heather go off to?" Asked Adam. "Who knows? I'm just happy she's out of the house." |
| "Yeah, good point." Said Adam. "Although look out cause Alistair's upstairs and I don't think he'll be too please to see you right now Adam." |
| "Did he say anything about Michael?" Adam wondered. "Just that we probably wouldn't see him for a while thank god." |

| "Yeah, he freaked me out, talking like he could control what side I was on of something." Said Adam. "If I'm even taking sides in something." |
| "Maybe. It only freaks me out to wonder how long he's actually known my dad..." |
| "I wonder how many times he's been in my house, how many times I've walked around not knowing or caring who he was while all this time...." He trailed off. "Getting kinda heavy here cuz." Said Lucas. "Go lie down." |
| "Right, right, okay." Said Adam, taking a deep breath. "I'm going to avoid Alistair, go to my room and lie down." He started up the stairs quietly. |
| Adam got upstairs, but as he headed to his room, Alistair came out into the hallway. He eyed Adam, but said nothing as he went downstairs. |
| "Did you have fun going out today?" He asked Evangeline, with no accusing tone in his voice. |
| "Oh? That sounds mysterious." Alistair said. "If it's important, better not wait." |
| Alistair raised an eyebrow. "If you're sure." |
| "All right then." |
| Alistair sat at the table in the dining room with a glass of blood sitting in front of him and that day's newspaper. |
| Lucas also got up and went to the kitchen, grabbing a glass and filling it with blood before going back to his seat. |
| Lucas finished it quickly, contemplating getting up to get another, but he decided against it. |
| Lucas continued drawing, although he seemed slightly distracted. |
| "My shoulder's just giving me some grief. It's okay, I'm kind of getting used to it." |
| "Yeah...thanks." |
| Lucas switched his pencil to his left hand and resumed drawing. |
| Lucas listened while drawing. |
