| "Yeah yeah, whatever." Adam laughed slightly. |
| "If you say so." Lucas replied. "Hey, what's going on up there?" Alistair called. |
| "Gimme a minute, I'll go down and say something." Lucas told them, heading out of his bedroom. "Do you think Alistair would really not suspect anything?" Asked Adam. |
| "So, what's going on up there?" Asked Alistair. "Who's the stranger?" "My cousin, Adam." Said Lucas. "Joshua--" "Yeah, I know very well what that bastard was up to." Alistair interrupted. "So why's he here?" "He wants to get away from his father." "This isn't really a human hidie hole you know." |
| "Well, he's not really...human." Said Lucas. Alistair smiled. "I see. I was wondering what was going on upstairs while I was having a good time. You made quite a commotion, didn't you?" "Yeah, well, he just needs to stay here for a while, is that okay?" |
| "Fine." Said AListair. "But you're responsible for him." "I figured." Lucas replied flatly. |
| "Whatever. I'm going out." Said Alistair. "You guys better not get up to anything while I'm gone." "Me? Come on." Said Lucas, heading back up the stairs. Alistair turned to look at Evangeline. "See, told you tonight would give him a mood improvement." |
| "Yeah, do me a favour and keep an eye on those four." Alistair said, heading out the front door. Lucas came back up to him room. "He said you could stay." "Great." Said Josef. "Yeah." Adam agreed. |
| "Her name's Evangeline or something." Said Lucas. "I dunno what her story is. Last time I hung around in this place for any extended period of time, she wasn't here." |
| "Yeah I guess." Said Lucas. |
| "So, what do we do now? You know my father is looking for us by now and he's not a good person to have on your bad side to say the least." Said Adam. |
| "Well I'm worried." Said Adam. "Clearly my father did this to me because he wants me to kill vampires. He's going to try and make me when he finds me." |
| "Okay." Adam replied. 'What am I supposed to do? I can't tell them I'm scared...' |
| "Well, I should probably sort out somewhere for you to sleep. It's not as if there aren't enough rooms in this place." Said Lucas. He left the room, looking for an unoccupied one where Adam could stay. |
| "Help? I thought you'd be cozying up to Alistair or something." Lucas said flatly as he opened the hallway closet to retrieve clean sheets for the bed in the room down the hall. "It's obvious you have a crush on him." |
| "Do what you want." Said Lucas. He reached up to grab something on the shelf, but winced, pulling his arm back; the bite marks on his shoulder had begun to hurt once again. 'Great.' He thought. 'Just what I need.' |
| Lucas frowned. "As long as Alistair's asked you to babysit us, I doubt you'll be 'out of our hair' any time soon." He countered. |
| "Cause we're the ones around here who cause trouble." Lucas replied flatly. |
| "Obviously not." |
| After making the bed Lucas went downstairs to grab something to drink. 'THe marks are flaring up again...and so soon....I thought I was getting a break.' |
| Adam caught the blood smell as well. "Is that....?" "Well, this is a vampire's house." Said Josef. |
| "Ugh, gross." Adam muttered quietly. |
| After a little while, Lucas came back up to his room. "I got the room at the end of the hall ready for you." He told Adam. "Thanks." |
| "Just about as good as it'll most likely ever get." |
| "Yeah I guess." Lucas paused. "So... Do you guys want something to eat while you're here? The fridge has other stuff in in besides...well you know." |
