| A wall of fire stopped the balls from moving in close and he just sent balls of the same shape back, "It's something like this,", Blaze said, "Let the fire merge and It wont get through." "You have to master a technique to ask me something." |
| "Which technique?" She asked cracking her knuckles. |
| "Conflagration.", Blaze told Rin. He snapped his fingers and the fireballs made small explosions and dissolved. "What it does? It uses the fire element for an explosion. Easy. Once your target is on fire, this technique is a sure-kill." |
| "So basically make the ball of fire explode?" She asked slightly confused. |
| "That's how you train it.", Blaze said, "Look.". Blaze pointed towards a stone. "Now you see it,", The stone exploded and shards of it flew in every direction, "Now you don't.". Blaze put up a wall in front of him, Rin and Pretty. |
| "Ok. I got this." She said focusing on a tinier rock than Blaze's. |
| The tiny rock went pop then exploded. "Nothings left.." She said. |
| Blaze looked at Rin, "Seems like you used too much power.", Blaze said. "Try making only the inner part explode. I want to see shards. The explosion itself can be used as you just did directly on an opponent. But you can harm him indirectly with the shards." |
| "Ok." She said focusing again. She focused on a larger rock and the center exploded. She opened her eyes and saw that thre was a few shards left. Most of the rock exploded though. |
| "Use the force of the explosion to send the shards flying. Keep this up, you're doing great. Even though this is a basic technique." |
| "Ok. Bye Pretty-chan." She said. She started ficusing again. This time the center exploded and shard flew everywhere. She covered her eyes to prevent any from hitting her. |
| "Sure, Pretty.", Blaze said and waved towards her. He looked at how Rin was doing and this time, she did it great. "Good Job, Rin.". Blaze stood in front of her, a wall of fire between them and the shards. "Next time, protect yourself after you're done, you can't rely on me forever." |
| "Got it!" She said. "Can I ask you a question now? Or did I nor master the technique?" She asked. |
| "I think I call that mastering it.", Blaze said, "But not perfected it.". He smiled and sat down, "So, what is it that you want to know?" |
| "About you and the rest of the Clan." Rin asked. "The people that used to take care of me kept me in the shadows." |
| "Me and the rest of the Clan?", Blaze asked, "What are you more interested in? I told you, One question per mastery." |
| "You. I can ask about the Clan later." Rin said. |
| "I see. Am I making it too easy on you?", Blaze said and smiled, "There are a lot of things I could tell you about me. What do you want me to begin with?" |
| "When you were little. Like your chikdhood." She said sitting down and putting her toes in the lava. She patted to a spot next to her. |
| "Ah.. that.", Blaze said and sat next to Rin, "You don't mind if I sit here, do you?". Without waiting for an answer, Blaze started his story. "When I was a child, I was aiming for power. I admired those who had it. I respected those who were stronger than me. I was urging for power to the point that it became an obsession. I wanted to be the most powerful elf in the Trystle Woods. I aimed for it. I did everything for it. But it wasn't enough. Nature denied my lust for power, denied my request to grant it to me, my body was too weak. I resorted to desperate solutions. I did what was forbidden to gain this strength. Even though I failed the ceremony, failed to acquire unbeatable strength and power, I'm left with full control of the Fire-element.", Blaze let out a heavy sigh, "That was most of my childhood. Disgusting, don't you think? Being obsessed with power. I lost most of my time because of it, though Pretty was there with me till the end. There's a reason, why we're feared in our clan. It's because I can control, what most adults can't." |
| "That means that you are more powerful than others. So whatever to what people think about you. There really is no good and evil just oower and people that want it. I don't think it's gross. It's just what you want." Rin said to him. |
| "More powerful? Yes.", Blaze stated, "More intelligent? Yes.", he added, "But more respect? No. We were feared.", Blaze ended. He stood up. "Want to call it a day or do you want to go on?". Blaze shifted his attention to Pretty, "Without her, I would've shed more than my own blood several times.." |
| "I wanna learn more cuz what would we do if we call it a day?" She asked. |
| "Eh.. sure.", Blaze let Pretty rest on his lap, but went on with instructing Rin. "I guess you should practice Conflagration and then defending yourself." |
| She nodded and started focusing on more rocks. One exploded and she quickly pulled up a wall of fire. She did that again. |
| "I'm fine.", Blaze replied to Pretty. He kept observing Rin. "I'm sorry I can't help you right now.", he apologized to Rin |
| Rin jumped startled by her name being yelled. "Coming Pretty-chan." She said sitting down next to her. "What did I do?" She asked. |
| "Pretty-chan!" She giggled splashing her and Blaze. |
| "Wha-", Blaze was suddenly pushed into the lava, "Why am I joining in on this?". Blaze was suddenly put out of the serious mood into the playful mood of the girls. He climbed up to land again. "I'm going to do something.", he said and walked towards a set of boulders. |
| Rin swam over and clug onto her back. |
| "Pyroclasm.", Blaze said and a large ball of heat was sent towards the boulders. Bouncing between them, smelting them one by one. |
| "Are you sure it's ok? Maybe he doesn't wanna play." She said still on his back. |
| "It's really pretty. And warm." She said smiling happily. |
