To be perfectly honest I wouldn't mind if they animated Knightmare of Nunally next, but I hope they finish up with Lelouch of the Rebellion with this season.

I'm curious if there is enough interest for a 3rd season? Is there even any talk of this at all or are we finished with 2 seasons?

The producers have stated that the story ends with season 2.

WIth ratings like these, I don't think they'd be very wise to hope for a third season.

And suddenly the ratings leap to a merely mediocre 3.6%!

I wonder if the shitstorm over the nuking of Tokyo might have gathered some interest in the show. If that's the case, it doesn't seem likely it will last.

DVD/Bluray sales are actually starting on a very good foot, just like with the first season, so I guess some money is still going to be made, to put it lightly.

But even if the ratings were much higher, it would be a pretty cheap move to have a third season at this point. So more than a "hope", that sounds like a bad idea anyways.

To put it very lightly. It racked up 26000 units in DVD sales in the first week. Most shows would kill for that number in their entire run, since, even if it didn't sell another copy, it would be in the top 50 for the year already based on last year's numbers. And that doesn't even include Blu-Ray sales, which, if similar to Macross F #1's first week sales (18000 DVD, 24000 Blu-Ray), will be higher. It will end up in the top 15, maybe top 10 animation DVDs for the year.

The airing ratings mean very little for this show.

The ratings seem to be picking up a bit for the finale. This week, Geass broke 4% for the first time.

^^ Yeah, the ratings have been going up as of late, probably because of the increased anticipation that the later episodes have. I wonder what kind of ratings the finale will get?

And 24 hits 4.3%, once again a new record.

Place your bets for the ratings of the finale now!

Looks like the 4.3% was a lie! 2.8% is the number that's been quoted since then.

And the finale scored a 3.5%, for an average rating of 2.66% for the second season.

That's it, folks!
