While this is the final season, it's going to be three split cours long, so this will wrap up sometime in 2026.

Episode 1

It's time to head out to America now that Senku and company have built the means to sail the Pacific to get right to the source of the petrification in the Amazon, and then become this era's version of Neil Armstrong to confront the entity known as Why Man on the moon. First order of business is to decide how to get to America, and Senku is right on the money wanting to arc towards Alaska rather than going on a straight line knowing full well that due to the Earth being spherical that it's actually the shorter path than the straight line path, as well as not having the luxury of spending an extra 30 days at sea since they would arrive after the harvest. But not everybody is convinced and also the route is more dangerous, so they decide this through poker. But Ryusui and Gen were cheating as Ryusui swapped his cards while Senku and Kohaku were distracted. So Senku cheats back by secretly staining the cards with a chemical he reacts strongly to, and beats their 4-of-a-kind with a royal straight flush. So the circular route they go. That was quite the way to start off this season as this journey is going to be very long and there's no telling if or when they will get back.

The crew of the Perseus is on its way to the United States, but Senku and Ryusui disagree on the best way to get there. So, they decide to settle it with a poker game, and shenanigans ensue with Gen trying various tricks to favor Ryusui and Kohaku exposing them. But Senku has the last laugh when he marks the cards, and the crew now have a casino and bar to keep entertained during the voyage.

The new opening is a real banger, and it actually fits with the theme of this episode.

Episode 2

Senku and company continue their journey, and the guys who are old enough to drink enjoy some booze, while Francoise also makes some mocktails for the underaged passengers. Afterwards, Senku figures out their location by using the sun's location. But they run into trouble when the skies get cloudy and seas get rough. But Chrome comes through using something the vikings used to use by making a sunstone that allows him to see through the clouds. And after navigating through some rough seas, they finally reach America. That was nice to see Chrome come through there, and now they are at their destination after 40+ days at sea.

More drinks made by Francois for everyone, and Tsukasa has Hyoga unpetrified so Matsukaze can train. Hyoga in turn requests to revive Homura and Moz. Then Chrome fashions a prism to serve as a Viking sunstone to find the location of the sun even when it's cloudy, and now the Perseus has finally reached America.

Episode 3

Senku and company have arrived in America in San Francisco, and then they sail up the Sacramento River to set up their corn farms. They encounter a bunch of crocs upstream, but this serves as an opportunity to get themselves some meat. And then they go further up finding pieces of corn on the river. Then Senku sets up a light trap to confirm what he suspected all along that there are corn moths from Europe there and that somebody was growing it. And then Senku and company get attacked by a guy wielding a machine gun forcing them to retreat. Even though they found themselves in danger, Senku welcomes the opportunity to face off against another fellow scientist. So while they found corn, now Senku will have to fight for it seeing that somebody did in America what Senku did in Japan.

It's time to find some corn, and the first evidence of it shows up when the battle team hunts some crocodiles for meat and Tsukasa finds a corn cob in the stomach of one of them. But as more evidence is found, Senku begins to think it's rather too convenient, almost as if there's another group of people harvesting corn. And as it turns out, these people have the power of science on their side as well, as someone with a machine gun attacks, forcing the team to fall back. Senku is relishing the chance to face off against someone with his level of intellect.

I appreciate some of the eccentricity of this show, but this episode threw science out the window...crocodiles in San Francisco? American Alligators can't live that far North, much less crocodiles who can stand cold weather even less.

Also, corn can't survive without humans. It is a completely human developed and engineered plant. Even the crops planted each year come from special seeds, not seeds that are kept from last year's plants.

Well he said the earth's wobble changed the climate.

As for corn I dunno. Life finds a way. Probably a bunch of regression or hybridization occurred though. Seed banks might have been buried or something? Frozen in ice?

I think he just meant it pushed the end of fall back further. If the climate changed, the fog they showed wouldn't be around anymore, and the redwoods would probably die too.

Episode 4

As it turns out, the Americans are further along in their advancement of technology as they already have the reinvented the airplane, which easily tracks down Senku's ship. But thanks to a makeshift bomb, they damage the engine causing it to crash. They look for the pilot, but only find the plane, and after searching for him Gen finds the pilot, Stanley. Gen is taken to the enemy base that's much more advanced than back in Japan to meet the leader Xeno. Gen decides to become a spy to gather as much intel as he can, and when asked about who the scientist is on their side, Gen says it's Taiju instead of Senku. This sets the stage for a showdown between scientists as it's clear that Xeno revived much earlier than Senku did and is further along in scientific advancement.

More specifically, bamboo doesn't grow in California. It can grow in the southeastern U.S., but they don't have time for a foraging trip. Also, the American bamboo thickets are actually considered critically endangered.

There's plenty of bamboo in the Southeast...most of it is probably an invasive species, but there is a lot of it, and it is almost impossible to kill. I bet there's plenty of invasive bamboo in California, and without humans to check its growth for thousands of years, it would likely really spread.

Xeno attempts to resolve things in an "elegant" manner, by having Stanley snipe their leader. As Stanley has never seen Taiju that he orders Luna to board the Perseus to identify Taiju, pretending to be a damsel in distress. While Luna got on-board, she has a tough time trying to figure out who Dr. Taiju is, and while she did correctly identify Taiju, that's not their leader. But she did meet the leader and sees Senku in action when he's making vanilla extract for Francois to make ice cream. As it turns out, Xeno was a NASA scientist and the reason why Senku got into science as he was mentored by him. Luna is quite confused seeing that she was told to find Taiju, but finds out that Senku is actually the brains of this team, so it will be interesting to see what she does here whether it be to report Taiju or Senku to Stanley, or neither at all seeing how they treated her so kindly.

Episode 7

And the history between Senku and Xeno is explained as Senku's father used to work under Xeno in America. Xeno helped Senku build a rocket and really inspired Senku to advance his science knowledge. He would go out and frequently visit his father in Cape Canaveral when he was undergoing his training as an astronaut. And then right before the global petrification, Senku and Xeno examined the petrified birds. Xeno saw that while bird is stone, it was still alive, which is critical knowledge that helped them get through the petrification. And then came the global petrification that happened during a party at the Pinnacles National Park. During the 3000+ years as a stone statue, both scientists were planning their next move, and knew that he needed to find corn right away, hence setting up his base of operation inside the corn belt up the Sacramento River. This goes to show just how smart Xeno is, and how Senku learned from him as they prepare to meet in a showdown between geniuses.

Now comes a flashback episode showing how Senku got to know Xeno through e-mail correspondence on how to build a rocket. Senku traveled to Houston a couple times to see his father, and he actually met Xeno once during his travels abroad. The major difference between the two people is that Xeno is an ambitious man, and he's not above using the power of science to rule the world. In contrast, Senku is just naturally curious about the workings of the universe.

Then we see the onset of the global petrification from Xeno's point of view, where a meeting was being held to discuss the petrification of the swallow population. Xeno's deduction of trying to keep their brains active until they were revived proved rather useful for everyone around him, and Xeno kept himself busy thinking about what to do next.

Xeno developed firearms as he had the platinum wedding ring that survived after over 3000 years, and that's when Xeno decided that science is power. And back in the present, Luna is struggling to figure out what to do as she's not exactly willing to out Senku or Taiju for Stan to snipe. However, she relays a message that Senku is the guy and while the others can't fully understand her, Xeno does. So Xeno relays to Stanley based on records of his chats with Senku that narrows him down by height and Stan deduces which one is Senku. Knowing that he's about to get shot, Senku creates something that acts as a makeshift bullet-proof vest. This goes to show that the science war is on and that it can be used for power like what Xeno is doing, or for elegance like what Senku is doing.

Xeno soon realizes who Senku is, and after calculating his height based on his voice, he relays his findings to Stanley.

Senku rushes to the bar and pours some water in a bag of powdered arrowroot to create a non-Newtonian fluid. It's time for the showdown between scientists, starting with an aerial showdown between Ryusui and "Stanley" with Senku as his navigator with their only chance of winning being to secure the 6:00 position. But with "Stanley" being a veteran pilot, he does a yo-yo maneuver to take the 6:00 position. In response, Ryusui does a cobra maneuver to gain the upper hand forcing "Stanley" to shake the plane in order to not give Ryusui a clear shot at him. While that's going on, it turns out the aerial battle is just a diversion as the real attack comes from the sub that sneaks up behind the Perseus. In the meantime, Senku and drops some bombs with gas to disrupt the engines to cause "Stanley" to crash, but they crash themselves by accident, only to find out that the pilot is not Stanley knowing that he wouldn't miss from point blank. While that's going on, Moz and Matsukaze fight back, but in comes Stanley to take them down to capture the Perseus. However, the Kingdom of Science has a sneak attack of their own as Tsukasa comes in to attack Xeno himself. It was a chess game here as there was lots of misdirection on both sides. The next question is how to cross realizing that Xeno and Hyoga can't be trusted, so these two end up crossing together while explaining the dilemma about how to get the fox, chicken, and the corn across the river with only one of them taken at a time, with the answer to take the chicken first, and have it cross back and again. Suica nearly fell into the chasm as due to her being a lightweight that she's easily swayed by the wind, but Kohaku saved her. And after that it's onward to Manaus, the Ground Zero of the petrification and while the jungle provides cover, Stanley and company know that they are leaving tracks behind to follow. So after crossing the river while taking ant extracts to use, they made it to the palace where the petrification light originated.

Kohaku leaps across a chasm easily so the ropeway can be constructed. The real issue is how to cross without leaving Xeno and Hyoga together at one side. A gust of wind causes Suika to fall off mid-crossing, and Kohaku has to think fast to save her. Once across the chasm, it's relatively smooth sailing through the Amazon rainforest, with Senku making several implements to ward off the insects and other animals. At last, they make it to the epicenter of the global petrification, a temple practically covered with Medusa devices.
Failure is always an option.

Episode 18

Senku and company have discovered a pile of Medusas at ground zero, which are out of juice. With all these Medusas, Senku concludes that Why-Man throw these Medusas onto Earth a long time ago and they all were activated to petrify the planet. With all the Medusas unusable, this provides an opportunity to tear them apart and examine them as they take as many Medusas with them as they can. Knowing that Stanley is eventually going to find them with the radar that Senku builds a stealth ship designed to bounce radio waves into the sky rather than back to them, using the Medusas to cloak their vessel. While cruising the Amazon River, Senku and company are examining the diamonds noticing the difference in shape and Senku asks the guys back in California to make diamonds. And after pulling an all-nighter, they crafted a batch of small diamonds. So with that, Senku and company have gotten one step closer to solving the mystery of the petrification.
