So a compilation of both seasons + new moments (so the continuation of the manga)... It's very strange, and I hope that the new chapters adapted in this movie will also be in a season 3, because otherwise it's painful, lame. Unless this movie ends the anime ? But I don't think so because the manga is still ongoing. |

@JaysonNnN the way they're wording it, it sounds like the finale of the anime. I hope it's a season 3 too though |

I don't like this method, they made a season 1 then a season 2, ok, but then you might as well just make a recap/compilation movie, or wait and make a season 3, or at worst a movie but which is entirely new and the sequel. Here it's a compilation movie of the two seasons with new adapted chapters which takes place after S2, but not much because it will be at the end of the movie. I already don't like that, but if in addition they ends the anime like that.. |

There is nothing weird, it has been excessively common, since forever, to end an anime while the manga is still going even years after. |

To me, nothing in the trailer seemed to indicate this is supposed to be "the finale". They even said 'their heartfelt story enters its "next chapter" ' instead of something like "final chapter". Either way, I would be really upset if a story as beautifully written as this gets cut short on the screen while friggin Rent-a-girlfriend gets to celebrate its 10th season. |

This was because most chapters/segments brought something new. In the 3rd season, Takagi-san's tricks started to feel repetitive. Nishikata falling for similar tricks over and over felt hard to digest. I've read somewhere that the source material had the same issue for a lot of chapters. For these reasons, I didn't mind the series ending with the movie, apparently skipping a lot from the source material. |
