We've had threads in the past discussing people's predictions about Subaru's death count last season, and probably this season as well. But how about Subaru's breakdown count?

In Season 2, Subaru cried um... countless of times! (I just rewatched pt 1 and didn't count 🤦). So perhaps there will be some moment(s) in the current season/arc breaking him down as well.

My guess is that it's either:
a. only 1 time, because most of his tears have dried out; or
b. more that 5 times, because the author loves tormenting Subaru

That being said, what are your predictions?

He will only die 3 times in that 10 minutes spam with sirius. And won't anymore for the entire season (he'll also take down an archbishop alongside Reinhard without dying a single time)

After watching episode 1 I’m gonna say a lot, I have no clue what happened but I’m gonna assume the archbishop of wrath used some type of hypnosis to make him cry so most likely Subaru will cry more than 5 times

Less than the first and second season because he significantly matured at that point. But of course, he's going to cry at one point, but that's fine.

Subaru didn’t actually cry. His reaction was because of RBD. He hadn’t died in a long time, and when he finally did, his soul wasn’t ready for it. The feeling of sickness he had was due to the influence of Sirius, and the heavy emotions he felt weren't really his; they were forced on him. And also I didn't see any real tears from him.

And about what @cyraw2446 said: when everyone else was crying, that wasn’t Subaru’s true cry—it was under Sirius’s authority. I'm not counting that.
