Unfortunately, he's last in line when the magic cheat skills get divvied up, so by the time it's Haruka's turn, there are no good choices left. Now Haruka will have to take on this fantasy world the hard way–on his own, with a hodgepodge of bizarre skills! When infighting and chaos break out among his classmates, can this loner come to the rescue? Other Information Type: TV Episodes: Unknown Status: Not yet aired Aired: Oct 4, 2024 to ? | Episode 1 First it was Arifureta, then came Fruit of Evolution, Instant Death, and Failure Frame, and now we have another show with an entire classroom of students being isekaied with the MC getting the raw deal, but finding a way to make due with the hand he was dealt. It begins with Haruka and his unnamed classmates being sent to another world where they got to pick skills, and he's the last in line with only crap skills left. But he ends up getting all the crap skills that turn out to be useful for living a quiet life by himself, which is exactly what he sets out to do. While he doesn't have the ability fight strong monsters as MCs from isekais desire to do when they get into another world, he's able to find a different purpose seeing that he's got quantity over quality when it comes to skills. Just when he was starting to get comfortable to live lazily, his classmates come in, so it will be interesting to see what he does now that he's in close proximity to his classmates. So this show looks like it was going to be something like Arifureta, but turns out to be something more in-line with Farming Life in Another World, except that the MC doesn't have godlike farming abilities. Let's see just how far Haruka can get seeing that he has adapted to living a loner's life and he's looking to "conquer" this world in his own way. |

This seems like it is going to be more on the light hearted than edge-lord spectrum, which is a better choice IMO, but that first episode was pretty boring. This isn't like his classmates rejecting him...he rejects them instead. Also, those goblins were just minding their own business and he goes in there and beats the shit out of them. Maybe the goblins in this world are completely innocuous.

Yea it definitely feels lighter than Arifuerta and failure frame, probably closer in tone to Farming Life and Fruit of Evolution. As a big fan of the Isekai genre, looking forward to see how this one fares. This season there’s actually a surprising low number of new isekai’s so I’m curious how this one stands out. One thing I’m enjoying- love that our MC is in the category of “light novel fan who enjoys this stuff and already knows about it” because hopefully now this is means we’re going to see more meta jokes like the ones we already saw today And side note- as someone who keeps track of Isekai events, chalk up another point for Magic circle; it’s true, the truck really is rare these days

It's meh so far. Which doesn't bode well since isekais tend to be their best at the beginning. Of course he gets appraisal. That's standard for most mid-level isekai shows. I wish they could have at least given it a different name like identify or something. His skills level up pretty quickly. The magic of weight and movement seem potentially pretty powerful to me. I half expected the rabbit to turn into a girl when he caught it. That was pretty much the one time they could have indulged in a typical isekai trope and chose not to.

Meh, just another disguised weakest powers used to make someone strong show and let me guess he wants to be alone but will be forced to interact with everyone because they will all suck and need him to survive. Maybe it will become funny but looks more like a harem.

Episode 2 Haruka managed to avoid being noticed by those delinquents thanks to a rabbit that drew their attention, but he needs to know what they are talking about. And then when Haruka sees that his nerdy classmates are having a tough time dealing with goblins, he decides to help them out and give them a place to hang out while hearing about what the class has been up to. Pretty much, the class has divided into factions as there are the nerds led by Oda and the delinquents led by Tanaka, and all the chaos going in s being blamed on the nerds. Haruka could have joined the nerds, but he thinks his skill set makes him a liability, so he declines. Then he encounters a trio of gyarus who are looking for the nerds seeing that they would have been dead meat without them. As bad as Haruka has had it with his skills, at least he's making due with it, whereas the class just can't get their act together. So much for his loner life seeing that his mind can't be at ease when his classmates are screwing up so badly.

While he is a loner, it was good to see that he's capable of being civil and friendly with others. Hope the nerds do well in this new world; they didn't deserve that. On the bright side, at least the gals realized their mistake and had some character growth. Admittedly the subjugation power does seem to superficially have some dark implications, so lets hope that his power evolves and makes them less like... well, that puppet power that was alluded to with the delinquents. It was a good episode, and I'm curious what's going to happen for our protagonist going forward- seems to be the beginning of the end for the loner thing. And honestly good thing to- 12 episodes of endless monologues speaking to himself would get pretty boring pretty quickly. Well, time to wait for next week

Meh I guess all the monsters will just be these cutesy harmless things, kinda makes them all worried seem lame. Maybe another ep or 2 I guess, seems like this can't really go anywhere given the plot. The Gyaru's don't even get names? (or does no one have a name except him?)

Episode 3 While Haruka is determined to live by himself, he just can't refuse girls who are in need as they are looking to hide from the delinquents. So he brings them to his humble abode where the first thing they do is to head for the baths and overtake the place, leading Haruka to camp out for the night. Next day, the Haruka goes fishing using his packing skill and one of the girl's lightning skills to zap the fish in the river, and then the girls battle some kobolds and despite having better skills, they couldn't do a thing against them. Haruka whips them into shape and they have a rematch with the kobolds and win. Then it's off to town, but Haruka isn't coming with them as they totally misunderstood the situation. Even though Haruka stays behind, the Class Rep decides to stay behind with him as well. Pretty amusing interactions there seeing that Haruka wasn't exactly built to have company, though at least he can accommodate them when the situation arises. Next time, there are some evildoers from this world that are causing trouble for the class.

Other than the implied attempted sexual assault by the delinquents, this one seems to be the anti-edge isekai....I mean they don't even kill the monsters....so my guess is the guy at the end isn't dead either.

Sooo 1) how do they know there is a nearby town, 2) why do they want to go there? I mean shouldn't they scout it out first? What if it sucks and they'll all be arrested or kidnapped and turned into slaves? Why not have him just build the girls their own nice house and try to figure this world out first? They've been here what a couple days? And geez this guy is annoying.

Episode 4 Haruka is escorting the girls into town seeing that there are so many dangers on the day there that he can't trust the girls to handle. So he knocks down some monsters, and while he said that physical attacks won't work, it does take them down, all while his magic is a bit too strong for it. So after trekking through the woods, they make it out, and Haruka learns air stepping that allows him to walk on air, doing so to find any dangers ahead, and spots a group of adventurers having a bit of trouble. So Haruka helps them out, and then after all that, they make it to town. While that's happening, the delinquents are about to attack the nerds as those groups just don't get along. It will be interesting to see what happens in town, but Haruka needs to solve everybody's problems.

@zkeleton Gotta have something to identify them by. It's not like anyone is going to remember their names. I barely recall their faces. He seems to have had quite the power boost given the girls were like twice his level.

Episode 5 Haruka helped the girls get to the town of Omui, and after going on a shopping spree having cashed in a bazillion or so crystals dropped by all the monsters he has defeated, he's eager to get back to his loner life in the woods. But unfortunately, he's trapped as he's not allowed to leave town unless he's an adventurer, which he's ineligible to register for because he's only level 9 as somehow the girls he helped leveled up faster than him all while he needs to be at level 10 to register and level 20 to do so without being in a party. And not to mention, the class rep has been keeping quite a close eye on him. So he decides to sneak out. The first attempt failed as while he zipped past the class rep with the invisibility cloak, he runs into the volleyball team girls trying to jump over the wall. The second attempt, he makes it past the exit, but he encounters some bandits attacking some helpless noble girl and decides to help her out. But instead of continuing on back into the woods, he's being escorted back into town as that girl is the daughter of Omui's ruler. Pretty funny episode that was seeing Haruka trying and failing to return to the loner lifestyle he would rather have than being around all those girls who just aren't capable of doing things by themselves.

Maybe you shouldn't have taken your cloak off just after getting out of the inn....it always irks me when someone tears off their disguise when they are not 100% in the clear. The entire "outsiders can't leave the village unless they are adventurers" rule doesn't make much sense....if they were outsiders, then they obviously were already outside the village. So basically you imprison everyone in the village after they get there?

@HOOfan_1 If you can't leave till your level 10 then how do you get to level 10 to begin with? I doubt the town has a bunch of monsters to grind for exp. I'm surprised he's still so low level. The girls all went up 10 levels or so. You'd think he would get some levels just from proximity.

@zkeleton I remember the loner thing. Shared xp bonus must be pretty high. You would think it would be pretty diluted by how many girls there are. It's weird since he seems to have a lot of combat ability despite his level.

@runec I'm guessing the way it works is that the skills go up in level separately from their overall level. So skill levels go up only when you use them and overall levels going up affects you ability scores--str, dex. etc.--but not your skill levels. So he's strong because his skill levels are high even though his overall level is low. That would explain why the girls' skills were weak even though they were/are much higher than his level. This next part I'm less sure about. It's possible that all the other students counted as one big party before they splintered into different groups. So maybe when the delinquents or the nerds went out and killed monsters the girls got xp and raised their overall level even though were back at camp. It would explain how all the other students were higher level because it allowed them to go out and fight in shifts so the entire group could be gaining xp pretty much round the clock. That would also explain why the girls combat skills were so low since they stayed at camp and hadn't used them at all. EDIT: Went back and re-watched some and I don't think the xp sharing thing is what happened. It seems more likely that one of his skills--maybe "master of none"--is giving him some kind of trade off where his skills go up faster, and allows him to combine their effects, but his overall level goes up a lot slower. He did just say he doesn't have a "job" like all the rest of them do and I'm thinking that whatever makes it so he can't have a specific job slows down his level advancement. So it's not that the others went up extra fast, he's just going up extra slow.

Yeah another the universe forcing a loner not to be a loner show, so a bunch of contivances arw going to keep him with rhw group. OK that's fine. One thing bothering me about this though is the overly large group of girls who have all just become one line tropes. Gyaru #1, volleyball girl #3, etc. who are all limited to one line of dialogue "oo, yay, sugoi, hungry". Just about every guy got a name and personlity (well I guess not the jocks), it shouldn't be that hard for him to learn at least a couple names. It would at leaat show he has made a little progress. Oh well the kid gwtting stabbed at the end has at least given me hope this could get better.

Episode 6 Before getting back to his loner life, all he needed to do was enjoy a fancy dinner, get some money, and be given an ID card that allows him to enter and leave town as he pleases. And while he's at it, use that money to buy a new staff. And after getting the VIP treatment for a night, he finally makes it out of town, using the excuse that he's checking up on the jocks to leave. As it turns out the jocks were beaten up quite badly by goblins and orcs, who are normally found deeper in the forest. He helps them out and gets them out to the town's walls to rest. As it turns out, Tanaka is bad news as he's the reason why the class is struggling so much. While Haruka is alone again, it looks like he will need to play the hero once again seeing that there's a bad apple in the class in Tanaka.

| OK, so it is master-of-none that's slowing down his leveling but basically boosting his skills. That seemed the most likely. It's probably what also makes it so he has no specific 'profession.' The name implies that anyway. In the first episode it said the guy brought 43 people there, but I've only been able to identify 33 people from his class. No idea who the other 10 might be. HOOfan_1 said: Yeah me too. | Episode 7 Tanaka thinks he's all high and mighty thanks to he Copycat skill that allows him to copy all the skills from his classmates, and Haruka knew right away what the skill he has seeing that he's supposed to be the only classmate who can use multiple skills. But of course, that skill has a weakness in that each skill can only be used three times, and with Tanaka using them like candy that he quickly ran out of uses. Just when it looked like he had killed Haruka by blindsiding him with the Death skill, Haruka countered that with Well-Being, all while it turns out that all this time Tanaka attacked Haruka's puppet he controlled with Dummy. And then Haruka gives this thrill seeker what he deserves for failing to realize that the rules are different in this world where 1+1 is greater than or equal to 2. After that, Haruka is exhausted and took quite a lot of damage, but the Nerds are there to bring him back to town to nurse him back to health, so once again returning to his loner life will have to wait. The moral of this story is to never brush off a skill as being useless as in the right hands and in the right situation, it's anything but useless. |

Episode 8 The town is in danger of being attacked by orcs, and this isn't exactly the time to go dungeon exploration, but Haruka heads to the dungeon and defeats those orcs along the way. He ended up picking up nothing but worthless junk during this trip to the dungeon. Seeing that he was being quite reckless that he got an earfull from the girls when he returns. Then he goes back out to the dungeon searching for the Pheromone Ring, and the class ends up following him all the way to the dungeon, and Haruka ends up falling all the way to the 101st floor. Seeing that there are supposed to be only 100 floors that naturally he would encounter the secret boss, the Dungeon Emperor. And the class is going down searching for him, quickly getting through the first 47 floors not realizing that he's in a place not normally accessible. Haruka is in quite a tough spot there, and now he needs to figure out how to defeat a secret boss with all those supposedly worthless skills he has.

Episode 9 As it turns out, the secret boss of the dungeon simply wants to die as this skeleton could have easily killed Haruka if she wanted to, but refused to do so as all she wants to do is to be rid of this curse. So with Haruka understanding what Angelica wants, he ends up using subjugate instead to make her his ally, and dons the armor that the real final dungeon boss was wearing, which he defeats by accident when he was looking for a shortcut to the 99th floor with the minotars from the floor above coming down to defeat it. So with Angelica helping up out, Haruka makes the climb back up. Meanwhile, the class has been making steady progress going down, but they run into a really tough boss on the 50th floor. However, thanks to their teamwork and the Nerds using skills they learned from Haruka, they finall defeat the tough boss. The Class Rep said it best there that it's thanks to Haruka that the class is working together as a team, something that wouldn't have been possible without him. Hard to believe that this skeleton actually has a well-built figure when wearing that armor, but Angelica is certainly the lady that Haruka needed.

While that's going on, Haruka and Angelica continue to make their way up the dungeon not realizing what is going on as they battle so many tough enemies, whether they need to venture through a giant pond filled with piranhas that he gets through by freezing them to death just like a fisherman does to transport their catch to the market, or navigating through a field of lava and extreme heat. But by chance, the class hears Haruka through the shaft that Haruka fell down as he was just trying to catch the breeze and they hear each other even though they are still 20 or so floors apart. It turns out that to stop the stampede Haruka needs to defeat the final dungeon boss, which is Angelica, but he's determined to protect her and find a way to squash the stampede without killing Angelica. Haruka has a plan to make that happen, and it will be interesting to see what he comes up with to deal with this problem. |

Some rough animation here and there. So she absorbed some magical items and got her body back just in time to be a new love interest? Also that giant fish swam *under* the rocks they were jumping on. So the rocks are floating on the water somehow.

Only just discovered and quite enjoyed the first episode. I'm a sucker for this kind of setting but it wasn't too over the top or serious. A good balance so far.

This show hasn't been a masterpiece by any means, but it has been a very enjoyable watch and I do hope it gets approved for future seasons. As an Isekai fan, definitely liked that it was one of the lighter titles I could enjoy this season From what I have been able to figure out- based on current pacing this season is on track to adapt the first two volumes of the light novels, or in manga terms- If had to estimate, we're going to end season one having adapted about 60 chapters of material, AKA the first 5 volumes. It's *possible* some of volume six could be adapted, but I doubt it. But on the bright side- with so much more source material to work with- if the show does well, a second season has lots to work with

Getting tired of this naggy wench trying to control him. What was he doing? Oh i don't know, maybe trying to stop you being murdered? Where's your gratitude. Are we actually meant to hate everyone besides the MC because it's working. You killed all those orcs that were going to destroy town? Let me nag you to never do it again. Jeez, if this is my reward i'll just let you all die next time.

@Xuhybrid In the show's defense the author doesn't even think everyone else is important enough to actually have names. Maybe we are suppose to ignore them. -.- He should run off into the woods with the knight.
