I read a few chapters of this manga a few years ago and it was kind of weird. I don't recall there being anything ominous about it as suggested in the synopsis from Crunchyroll

Episode 1

That was just creepy. Migi and Dali were adopted by an elderly couple, but little did they know that these twins are plotting and scheming something. The soundtrack just drives up the creepiness factor there and those two boys are quite the enigma. It's an interesting setup there, and I'm hoping to get some context here seeing that there wasn't much of it at the moment.

I didn't make it through the first episode. This show has zero appeal for me.

Episode 2

And now, Migi and Dali are plotting to kill their parents at a party as they got some pretty shady secrets they are hiding from their adopted son. The plan is to get the mother intoxicated and then igniting a spark with a magnifying glass, but that failed. Dali got a new bike at least, but nevertheless there's plenty of plotting and scheming going around. This show just continues to be creepy and everything.

I read a few chapters of the manga, and I don't remember anything about their mother...all I remember was then going around town acting really weird. Maybe I just read 1 chapter and it was midway through and that was the impression I got.

Something about this show kind of reminds me a little of JoJo Diamond is Unbreakable. I guess it is the town that I guess is supposed to be in Japan, but seems to have a very American small town mentality and the characters that are all just a little off.

That just creeped me out. Dali goes trap as he pretends to be the student Sali, and Migi asks to date this Sali, but in order to do so he needs a perfect score on the test. And then they go out on a date with Migi not knowing he's doing so with is twin brother. Can't think of anything being creepier than that.

This show does seem to revel in its creep factor. Looking forward to how they beat this last ep.

It does! Like JJBA doing a take on Shadows House.

Well, that model reminds me of the model in the attic in Beetlejuice.

The adoptive parents must be pretty dumb if they think the orphanage would take him back because he stole a button.

Gotta say the ED for this is probably a shoe in for my ED of the season.

This show has such odd comedic timing...I guess that's a dark comedy for you...another reason it reminds me of JoJo

Hmm...so Eiji was not aware of Migi and Dali's mother, but his parents both knew her.

This show seems to be capable of twisting expectations, but seems like it's possible she could be Eiji's mother...or perhaps she was mentally ill and thought she was Eiji's mother.

It seems Eiji's father might be a psychiatrist, so perhaps Migi and Daili's mother was a patient of his and she kind of pulled a Bill Murray from What About Bob and tried to insert herself into Eiji's family.

I've only seen 2 episodes so far and, I'm a bit bummed about the lack of cleverness from the two titular characters for when their trying to hide themselves. Instead, they just rely on weird and/or creepy looking actions while barely reallyl hiding themselves and are just lucky enough to have quite... low IQ NPCs around. They usually just hide themselves in plainsight within everyone's visibility.
They did finally reveal a twist in the story but, I'm worried it's more of a curiousity bait than an interesting plot.
I'd try too just watch this show from time to time just for the sake of finishing what's been started but, I'd immediately drop it if they keep doing more non-clever/dumb acts for the main selling point of this Anime which is the thrill and suspense of the two titular characters being caught. I was really hoping for this Anime to be something special and is one of the reasons I subbed to CR this month T_T

@Jozuwa-_- It's kind of a dark comedy, and their odd way of making things work is part of the joke.

Trying to hide that they are two people is not the main plot. The main plot will become apparent in episode 3.

Well, her being Eiji's mother seems a lot more likely.

This show was teetering on the edge of being darker than it seemed for quite a while, and it seems to have tipped over that edge in this episode. I didn't expect actual murder to happen.

The question now is, how does Eiji's "father" allow his wife to go on like this? He seemed to be a pretty reasonable person, and he seemed to want to keep Metry safe. I can only think that the wife blackmailed Karen's real parents to leave town and tricked her husband into believing she was legally adopted by them. So maybe Eiji's "mother" was using him as a hostage to keep Metry quiet, and she and Migi and Dali were allowed to stay in that hidden room, but something happened to make Metry try to take Eiji back and she would run away with him, Migi and Dali.

Well...this was kind of right. Eiji is her son, and she did have him with Reiko's husband, but this was less her being psychotic and thinking she was his wife, and more Rieko forcing that roll on her.

The father must really be an idiot to not know what was going on though.

This had some good comedy moments, and I guess the stupidity of some of the characters caused that, but that same stupidity kind of made it harder to accept the more serious aspects of the show. Definitely a unique dark comedy. The ending mystery wasn't quite as interesting.

I give it 8/10, if the mystery ended up being a little more interesting it could have gone to a 9
