The third match in the tournament Quarter-Finals finds Tien going up against a fighter from the Future! Battle 3: Tien vs Trunks! The winner of this battle will go to Semi-Finals, along with Vegeta, Janemba and one more fighter!  Tien proved that he could well be the strongest human in the first fight, but this time he faces a far more powerful opponent. Trunks, for some unknown reason, announced that he won't go Super Saiyan during the whole fight! Who will go to Semi-Finals, and who will be eliminated? It's up to you! Rules:(read this first) The winner will proceed to Semi-Finals! Let the fight begin! |

| Trunks of course because as we all know....He's a son of Vegetta (Prince of saiyans xD).. Even though, he's not as strong as the other saiyans....He can immediately eliminate Tien of course. |

| Edit: Damn, I wrote too much and was only the 3. ^.^ But wait. What is this? No Super Saiyan, huh? Well, that would make the fight really one sided x). Now that aside, I still vote for Trunks. Considering that he was able to dispatch Frieza along with his father easily, he must have been AT LEAST as strong as Goku before the latter turned into a Super Saiyan. And Goku was the only one able to fight with Frieza in his 4th form without being a Super Saiyan. At this point, Tien got trained by Kaio but he was nowhere near Goku's strength. So Trunks was even in his normal state far stronger than Tien by the time the two first met. During the Cell Saga, Trunks was two times in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber with his father. Knowing that Vegeta is a workaholic and Trunks admires him, we can assume that he didn't waste any time to train. As for Tien, he was not once in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, giving him quite the disadvantage here. Furthermore, Trunks has saiyan blood - the blood of a warrior race. Thus, he either gains strength at a faster pace or more strenght at a time. And it is frequently mentioned that the strength of saiyans rises during a battle. So the gap in strength is too huge. Of course, in Trunks normal state. As SSJ he would outclass Tien. |

| Considering how the battles go, I'm gonna pick Trunks before he went back home. Trunks is faster stronger and more deadly than Tien. At that point Tien could only slow down imperfect Cell, so Trunks would win pretty easily. |

| I vote for Trunks ^^ because he's son of Vegeta and he is a Saiyan... Tien has his Kikoho but that isn't enough to win with Trunks. So it still Trunks :D:D |
| Well I have 2 reasons for voting Trunks. He's my favorite DBZ character still on competition. And he's obviously stronger than Tien. Also, Trunks was the only one that survived in the future, all the heros died there. When he came to the present he got really strong. he can defeat Tien only by using his sword. He's far more capable than Tien. As im being repetitive lol Trunks wins the vote. |
| I'm voting for Tien :P 1. so that Kaysabb wouldnt be alone in this lol 2. Trunks not going SSJ means Tien has a very good chance. He does have some nice moves and he would give Trunks a run for his money. Overall I think he can beat Trunks with luck. Also, I still like his move where he splits himself in 3 (or was it 4? :P ) @Kaysabb I was sure that someone would've mentioned the fact that Tien and Future Trunks already had a face-off and Tien got beaten. But still, no one has. - I was about to say that lol |
As the World Martial Arts Tournament continues...  Currently, the result is 2:13 It looks like Trunks has taken this one seriously! Tien can't lay a proper punch on a Saiyan, and he's exhausted! Trunks is preparing to deliver a final blow! But, does Tien have a hidden technique yet to unravel?! We'll see what happens! |

This battle is over!  The final result is 3:14 ! And what an unexpected result! Trunks wins this one easily! He dominated during the whole fight, but Tien never gave up and even managed to lay three punches! ... So... Trunks is moving to the Semi-Finals to face Vegetto or Goku! That battle will decide the who will be the last Semi-Finalist of the Tournament.. Next fight starts in 16 hours! Stay Tuned. |
| Well, it's pretty obvious Trunks could win this with one hand tied to his back without going SSJ. SSJ Trunks didn't have any to do any effort to beat Mecha Freeza and King Cold at all, while SSJ Goku fought Freeza at 100 % without his mechanical upgrade for quite some time. Therefore, Trunks was stronger at that moment than Goku while fighting Freeza and Goku already had a powerlevel of 3 million then. It's highly unlikely Tenshinhan ever achieved this kind of power. We definitely never got proof of it. EDIT: I'm sorry, didn't pay any attention. |
