Hueco mundo was pretty disappointing especially after the masterpiece of an arc in soul society and a decent arrancar arc. I skipped the bount arc because I heard it was filler and so I didn’t waste my time, but I found that a lot of the episodes of ichigo and company sneaking into hueco mundo to feel filler-like. I started to see why so many people drop the show but I stuck with it. The whole rescuing orihime plot seemed like a rip off version of the rukia rescue. IMO the only good things that came from this arc were battles between ichigo and grimmjow/Ulquiorra.

You left it out of the poll that's how forgotten it was lol, it's the first half of the Bount Arc. The second half is pretty good actually, but the first half drags a bit. It's still good but not as good as the rest. Second weakest is the first half of Hueco Mundo before Ulquiorra arrives, it's incredibly boring.

I am in the very small minority but I did not dig the soul society arc as much as I thought I would. There was some great moments but overall I felt a little bored and Ichigo had insane plot armor in this arc. Like there was no way he could defeat Kenpachi and Renji that early on. I like every other arc tho.

As Long as the Sun, the moon, and the Earth exist, everything will be alright.

I almost voted for fullbring arc but it’s really not that bad. It has some character development for Ichigo . Tsukishima has a cool ability and the fight with Ginjo and ending scenes are great. The weakest part of Bleach is probably during Arrancar when they are fighting fodder espada and Ichigo is playing tag with Nell. Too much comic relief and feels like filler

Hot take but Substitute Shinigami arc is actually one of my favorite arcs in the series. I think the “monster of the week” kinda stories in the beginning helped define a lot of the characters in the show. Especially episodes 7 and 8, also known as “Memories of the Rain” which is just some of my favorite episodes in the series. I would say pretty much every arc is great, so it’s hard to pick a worst arc in the series. If I had to pick one, I would Arrancar the Arrival is the worst, but I don’t think it’s bad by any means. Unless we’re counting filler arcs, in that case the Bount arc is the worst. Fuck that arc.

Been Rereading the manga, the whole damn thing is a mess because Kubo keeps changing what he wants the concept of the series to be and nothing flows or develops well at all. The very first arc probably has the strongest sense of identity and theme, and is all thrown away for shonen action and the soul society, which is thrown away for Aizen and the Arrancar, which is thrown away for Fullbringers, which is thrown away for random Quincies. If I had to pick a worst arc it would either be the whole of Arrancar or Fullbring. Soul society has its merit and the first arc had potential. The final arc is quite flawed but not as bad as Fullbring and Arrancar.

Manga wise its substitute shinigami just for the fact its the first arc where nothing crazy happens, anime wise id say the start of the arrancar saga/hueco mundo since it felt like it really dragged on atleast to me

Don't get me wrong, I feel like the fullbring arc is very overated it's actually pretty good especially the fights. But then again I'd still say it's the weakest arc out of that selection.

Arrancar as a whole is an exhausting watch. Just fight after fight after fight with very few of those involving interesting characters or dynamics. There really needed to be another arc in between soul society & arrancar to properly flesh out at least some of the newly introduced characters.

if we are talking strictly anime, fullbringer but if we are talking manga thousand year bloodwar imo. was reading the manga as the final arc was getting released and it was just bad. glad they fixed the pacing issues and some of the plot issues with the anime

I think the Hueco Mundo (when they’re in it) saga really dragged. You have so many chapters/episodes of the gang trying to get through the massive palace. I was just waiting to see Aizen, Gin, and Tōsen again (and then they don’t even fight in there). A massive bloated chunk of the anime was during the Hueco Mundo saga (it’s pacing was the slowest as well). It does have its highlights such as Grimmjow and the Ulquiorra fight tho.
