 Plot Summary One day, Mitsuha falls off a cliff and is transported to a medieval Europe–type world! After a near-death encounter with a pack of wolves, she then realizes that she's able to transport between two worlds—this one and her own. | I read a few chapters of this manga and it was kind of boring so I dropped it...maybe it will be better as an anime |
| Cutesy designs, but I'm not so sure that frilly short dress would be the best thing in the alternate world sometimes... I get that it's a slight twist on the game world transference thing, but it seems fairly contrived and a lot of exposition for the first episode. I guess I'll check to see if it really develops into anything more engaging in the next few episodes. |
| That was better than I was expecting it to be. That rewind to how she fell of the cliff was pretty hilarious. I also really like the imaginary conversations she has with her brother. | Does it count as an isekai if she can switch back and forth at will? Well, it's close enough. Being able to get modern supplies and weapons will be a nice change of pace, and the main character won't be overpowered. I'm not wild about her being motivated by finances, but the show seems to have the potential to be fun. |
| Episode 1 And now, here is an isekai, except that the MC has the ability to return home. That's Mitsuha's power as she escapes death after being pushed off a cliff, and landing in another world where she's found by Collette. She can't speak their language, so communicating was quite a problem. And while on a forage, she's attacked by wolves, and she returns home to grab a kitchen knife and some peppers that dogs can't stand to kill the leader. See an opportunity that she decides she wants to stockpile as much money she can so that she can retire in comfort, though it's going to be quite a lot of gold. While this show just doesn't have much in the way of a story and stuff, it could be a fun time to be had. An alright start, though not something I need to watch in a season filled with a bazillion or so fantasy shows. |
| Episode 2 Mitsuha is going all-out in there as after she returns home, she takes up gun training and gets her motorcycle license as she's trying to do what she can as she has her eyes on the prize. It's quite a convenient power to have seeing that she can't stand smelling stinky and all that other stuff. And it's not just in that world where her language skill comes into play as she spoke pretty good English to that New Zealander. Mitsuha is well on her way to hitting her retirement goal. |
| I'm really liking this. She's smart and she's not just half assing it. Though the way she picked those mercenaries to deal with seemed rather naïve. She better not get caught with those firearms in Japan. Though if she wanted to live dangerously she could probably make some good money quickly smuggling guns into the country. lol I think she'd be better off buying an 3 wheeler rather than trying to use a scooter on those primitive roads. |

| I burst out laughing multiple times this episode. Not even sure it was trying to be funny lol. |
| At first, I was put off by her being a conniving bitch. But as this episode went on; there were enough funny bits to offset the conniving part. |

| Episode 3 That was quite a crafty scheme that Mitsuha came up with in order to meet the noble family, by feigning an injury in order to get taken to their glitzy mansion seeing that not just anybody can meet up with Claus and family. There, she shows off a Swiss Army knife, as well as a pearl necklace that's common in her world, but has a national treasure status in this world. With that, Mitsuha now has a general store in the capital that is a trait passed down through her family, and having made a great impression that she secured an official sponsorship from them. Talk about being extremely lucky and resourceful knowing full well that Claus is somebody who can make her 80,000 gold goal a reality. |

| I was surprised that the she didn't do any kind of market research considering how thorough she's been in so many other areas. Just a walk around the city to see what kind of goods are commonly sold could have at least given her an idea that certain products wouldn't be useful, or even understood by the local populace. I like the way she jumped at the chance to help the cook. If she can somehow bring an entire water tower to this world I think a few dozen fish for a party wouldn't be too much of a problem. |

| Episode 4 Not long after seeing Mukohda do it, which in his case was by accident seeing that he didn't realize that salt and pepper that was common in his old world was rare in the world he is currently in, Mitsuha tries to leverage her ability to sell stuff that is cheap in Japan for inflated prices in the other world. Unfortunately, her general store just isn't attracting customers, but they did manage to get three girls, and she had to pull quite a lot of strings to get they to buy a bottle of shampoo. After all, having something like a fish scaler in a place where fresh seafood is hard to come by for sale isn't exactly going to cut it. But in the end, she got things off the ground, and it took some instant meals to make it happen. |
