Episode 1 Hiraku built himself quite a farm in just a few days, and with a lot less effort than it normally requires with his almighty tool that allows him to plow without getting tired and grow crops without needing to wait very long, just like in those video games. And he even got himself some pet dogs there seeing that he's helping a pregnant one give birth. It's another isekai with a MC who's OP, albeit this one it's for farming rather than combat, and it's a good change of pace. He already has a farm, but it won't stop there as he's out to build a village, and next time the first villager moves in. Not a bad start there as this is a more laid-back fantasy show than what I'm used to seeing. |

Here's our first unnecessary isekai. Not much to say really. Although judging by the OP this dude's harem is huge. |

This was boring.... We have another isekai where the mc becomes a famer and builds his own farm. Being reborn into the world he has to start from scratch, but we get a glimpse of what the farm will look like in the beginning. Yeah, I don't think this is going to work even with all the waifu's that are going to be in it. Id rather just play Harvest Moon or Animal Crossing and build my own farm. I'll still watch it but only after I have watched everything else. |

Surprisingly, this was better than most of the other shows out so far this season. Then again, it's not that big of a surprise considering how weak this season has been so far. I knew we were spoiled with how good last season was, but seeing all the dregs that are coming out this season really drives home just how good it was. |

If you're curious how far that flash forward was: I was pretty surprised. Like I would be surprised to see the show get there in the 12 episodes this show as listed for unless they pace it up. So yeah, I've actually read a good bit of this one's manga. It was the farming isekai I had initially hoped we were getting last season. All I'll say out of box is that this one should be better. If you're curious about the general themes, content, and if I'd recommend it, then: Have you ever sat down at an outdoor cafe table, sipped a tea or coffee, and just watched the world move? Are you one of the people that actually liked In Another World With My Smartphone (like myself)? Well then this might be an isekai for you. Because if seeing Machio kill that rabbit beast didn't tip you off, this one is not about finding challenge or even showing conflict. There is quite a bit of harem elements and Machio has endless stamina... for farming!! And trouble generally comes to him so he can spend most his time farming, developing his land, and making a lot of friends that mostly happen to be female. Really, the first episode when including the flash forward, does rather well at showing you 80% of what you can expect from this show. It's nothing amazing, but it is nice. |

The flash forward it seemed like he was just pointlessly surrounded by girls and there wasn't really anything special about the relationships. I suppose we'll see how fast he ditches the vamp when the angel shows up. Yeah, I was questioning her logic there given she's in an anime. :p |

Do the Japanese really eat tomatoes as if they were apples? It always amuses me seeing characters in anime just bite into a tomato right off the vine |

Back in middle school I took a hobby class of agriculture. One time, after making sure I had received credit, I grabbed a tomato I had been growing and ate it just like this. The other kids had a lot of looks and comments about my being weird. It's not like it's an ear of corn or squash though. If you're not using pesticides it's the most eatable plant not from a tree that comes to mind. You don't have to cook, split, peel, or rinse it. Legitimately, you just need teeth. Looking back I suppose I may have been too trusting of my peers, but considering how surprised they were - I guess I was safe. I wonder how much of an American/westerner thing it may be to think it so strange. We do live in a society where everything we eat goes through some kind of processing be it mechanical or bureaucratic. Edit: Oh, yeah. I did expect Lu's explanation for her defense to be met by Machio with, "Well you see I'm formerly Japanese..." |

It's not even that it seems necessary to wash it, it's more like I just don't think of tomato as something that people just eat straight up....maybe smaller sweeter tomatoes like cherry or plum, but regular garden beefsteak tomatoes, not really. On a burger, with lettuce and mayo, chopped up in a salad or on a taco, but not just straight up, specifically because they are acidic and bitter, need something sweet to offset the bitterness. |

It's perfectly chill but my main gripe with it so far is the first episode showing us the ending already... Come on man. We're here to experience the journey, and if you need to see how it all ends, no point taking the journey... Another show did this a couple seasons ago and it's so disappointing. When he starts working on the area around this tree im thinking of that spoiler of the future where he has a village full of women. It has actually ruined some of the enjoyment offered so far. Well at least there is actual farming in this one, cough. |

Episode 2 After gaining a family of dogs, now Hiraku has added a spider that was quite helpful in making sure he doesn't freeze to death during the winter with those silk outfits, and a vampire girl. It was starting to get lonely there seeing that he's starting up a farmland in the middle of a dangerous forest, but this is just the perfect place for Lu to escape to seeing that she can do her research without any distractions. While it was not exactly the ideal place to get his farmland started, Hiraku has adapted pretty well, and now he is starting his own village with Lu being the first to move in. |

I will give this show some points for the fact that he doesn't really go into the world knowing all and that he had no idea about making salt and had to be taught, and the other characters that fall in his lap have to teach him other things about surviving in that world. Seems like this show is trying to go for the quickest harem built and judging by the OP also the largest. At this point it doesn't look like the elves will get to reproduce unless they force themselves on him though. |

Episode 3 And just like that, Hiraku's village has gotten even bigger. A vampire girl moved in, and then an angel that was chasing after Lu ends up living there as well. Then a family of elves also joins the community, and they are not exactly what Hiraku thinks of what it comes to a stereotypical elf as they will do whatever it takes to survive and not try to live as environmentally friendly as possible. Pretty ridiculous how all these girls just show up and start living there, but having more people around can only help things out as while Hiraku can do anything by himself when it relates to farming, having some extra hands is always going to be quite helpful. And that JoJo's Bizarre Adventure reference when Tia explains how Lu is always causing trouble with her experiments is pretty amusing. |

So this is a game world too. Except instead of it being an MMO it's Minecraft. That's fine with me I like Minecraft. It would add to this show immensely if we were to get some kind of relationship building/romance between Lu and Hiraku. But it looks like this is going to be another show with an asexual mc surrounded by beautiful women who not only want sleep with him, but are totally ok with sharing him too. |

The vampire girl realy blushed when she said that he is her husband which indicates she fullfills her nightly duties as a wife, and a lot. And with the hints from the elves about needing/wanting to reproduce it's pretty clear they are going to have him lend a hand. |

The same retainers who told him that most guests would have to travel in groups, and that the representatives of 2 powerful/magical factions were not the norm are the same ones who didn't seem to understand that the Beastmen were not coming as political emissaries, nor would they pose any real threat to the village. Obviously political emissaries will bring gifts and show up confident in their meeting. Weak people like the group of beastmen shouldn't have been expected to know to bring gifts (although if they wanted to trade, they should have brought samples) and obviously being weak and hearing how strong the village was, they would be afraid to go all in. |
