| I would say Robin without a doubt since her experiences left her so scarred that she began to want to take her own life. Also, even before she witnessed her entire homeland and all the people who lived there die, she was already extremely lonely being ostracized by the people of her island and mistreated by her relatives. Even the one moment of happiness she found when she was reunited with her mother for the first time in her memory was torn away from her in a matter of minutes. In comparison both Brooke and Nami have memories of happy times to sustain them and they both had relatively functional lives while Robin was persecuted, betrayed, forced to flee for her life, and treated as a criminal from the age of seven. |

| I think that Robin and Brook have the sadest history, because they lost their closest persons and passed a long time until finding good nakamas, i voted for Brook because he was living a happy life with his companions, but they died and he was the only one alive cause of his fruit, and he lived 50 years all alone, on top of that he went to an island where his shadow was stolen. If it was the one with the hardest history it would be Sanji, because he survived a lot of days without eating. |

| Hmm, I think Chopper had the hardest Time. His Family abandoned him and threw him away! And then he lost his only true friend (before he met Luffy and the others) in a sad way. I almost cried when Bader took his last breath and Chopper was desperately crying cause he couldn't do anything. |

| I voted for Brook. You can tell by his whole personality that his mind is completely scarred from what he had to go through. he tries to show this goofy happy side all the time but its obvious being alone like that for so long can destroy someone. |

| I was a little torn between Nami - Brooke - Robin. Nami mostly because I'm sure her past was worse than Oda plain out told us, one girl living with a bunch of ruthless merman... I'm sure there was some rape/torture or something that would have been too inappropriate to talk about. I thought about Brooke since a lot of people are using the argument that Robin's was saddest since she was alone for 20 years.... Brooke was alone for far longer. But sadly overall I had to jump on the bandwagon and chose Robin, mostly because at least Nami knew she wouldn't be killed since they needed her, plus she got to visit the villagers all the time, Brooke was already a full grown man with many happy memories when he lost his crew, where as robin was a scared little girl whose memories were probably mostly of explosions and Saul being turned to ice. |

| Its tied with Brooke and Robin, although I voted Robin. I mean, she had no friends, was bullied. N no mother. Then when she does come, the whole island goes into flames as well as her only mother. N Brooke, all of his nakama... Whenever they flashback to the scene where they're all singing the last song, it just breaks my heart. N then he just is all alone for many years, as a skeleton at that. I think those two have the most saddening past. With Nami, Luffy was able to help them n recover, as well as Usopp, n... Well, I guess Chopper's is really sad. x[. With the professor. Ugh. Even Luffy had a sad past: you know, when he was forced to survive in the jungle by his gramps. As a little kid at that. So sad. | I would say it was robin's, but I voted for Brooke because he's much older. Even older than the pirate king himself, so he deserves some respect. And his story was actually really sad T_T |

| Yeah i know old topic(Well Sorta)... I think it can be agreed that Brooke, Robin, Nami, and Chopper's back story's are all pretty sad i give my vote to Nami. I think hers simply has more of a psychology effect on her more then the others(Well maybe not Choppers). To have that much responsibility placed on your shoulders at such a young age. The fate of all your close loved one's falls solely on you, to have to go into the world and deceive everyone and come up with an insane amount of money. Being beaten and basically treated as a slave a good part of her life. Such a sad story and got to me the most out of any of them. |

| Everyone of the Srawhats has had a unhappy/ traumatic or sad past. But overal i think i would say that Nico Robin has had the saddest past. Losing her family and friends as a child, etc. living on her own most of her time after those losses, no one to trust. |
