Want similar anime to this one. (While you mention your suggested anime to similar to this, try to write in what regard you think the mentioned anime is similar.) You can even suggest "Manga" similar to this one.

Anything Makoto Shinkai related. Your Name, Weathering with You etc. Same vibes, similar supernatural stuff, even the character designs and art styles are very similar to some of Shinkai's works.

If I had to name the closest movie I could to this, it would probably be Typhoon Noruda.

Another 40 min long movie, with 2/3 main characters finding out about a strange/supernatural being. That's all that's similar tho - the storylines are a bit different and I think Typhoon Noruda is slightly worse than this.

Well, the premise seems to be very similar here to Summer Ghost, thanks I got a rec on this now.

I've watched the trailer of titles you've mentioned. The animation just looks gorgeous and researching a little about the creator (Makoto Shinkai) I come to know that he is very acclaimed by anime fans. Thanks, I'll start watching his works anytime soon. Yeah, you can say that I'm new to anime as I don't watch them very frequently, this is the first time I created the thread cause when I try browse out similar anime to "Summer Ghost" there wasn't enough info on the topic.

If you are gonna watch some of the animes mentioned in this thread then I will highly recommend you to watch Makoto Shinkai's work first( Also all of his works are movies). Specially Your name. If you have liked an anime like summer ghost then you will be blown away by Shinkai's works

so far I haven’t seen anyone mention many actual anime similar, so I’d recommend Dusk Maiden of Amnesia.
