Which anime series released in 90s has the best animation . it is hard to tell . I asked many people and their answers were yuu yuu hakusho, cowboy bepop, DBZ. without bias i want to know which anime really had best animation .

If we are going with 0 bias and we are saying shows made in the 90s the LAST show to be made in the 90s would objectively have the best animation, no? that would og ZOIDS. And as sad as it is to say ZOIDS animation does trump the animation in Cowboy Bevop by a ton, discounting the 3D. The techniques are objectively more updated.
Hope is only a distraction. REAL skill comes without effort.

I’d say Evangelion also has really good animation for the time period and it still holds today.

yu yu hakusho’s animation quality is especially outstanding even in today’s standards. it’s such a well produced show.

Cowboy Bebop, Evangelion and Trigun.

Their style still holds up today and I love it.

Yeah, people looking at DBZ with big nostalgia goggles here. I love the series, but the animation quality is really lacking in certain parts.

Objectively speaking I am not sure what the best is, but the 1999 version of HxH has amazing animation that many prefer over the 2011 version. The colors and style is amazing.

Maybe the Gundam shows of the era? Can’t say with complete confidence since it’s been a while since I seen anything from the 90s

i mean .. this seems to be a Yu Yu thread but I always liked Kenshin more than YuYu (yuyu is amazing btw)

esp Trust and Betrayal , and Season 2 Kyoto Arc , animation top tier for the 90s

Everything televised has a mix of good and bad animation (occasionally just bad animation and nothing else). The timecrunch was rough and every show absolutely had to cut corners here and there.

Any random film or OVA you pick will have great animation, any random TV show you pick will be somewhere in the average range with occasional sparse bumps in quality. That's just how it is.
