i started watching anime from one of my cousins back in 2001 i think he introduced me to DBZ while i enjoyed it i told him that i wanna see more just like it and he introduced me to cowboy bebop and the rest is history.

Watched dragon ball and Naruto with my brothers when I was four. But didn't become a fan and watch it actively until 7th grade

I started literally almost a year ago. I know i havent watched a lotta anime considering its 1y but i didnt have much free time to do so, now i got :) yall can go on my page and see my trash taste lol (btw if anybody wanna be friends im here :)

Watch it since the day i saw the first pokemon figure but only when i come to middle school did i understand the concept of anime ^^
It's 5 cm/s the first anime i called "Anime" and Naruto, Onepiece, Bleach, SAO don't we all grind these shounen before we fully become weebs xD.

When I was around 10 years old, a neighbouring kid ( he was older, ca 14) showed me Elfen Lied and said thats the most brutal thing you can watch out there. I was amazed. But my real Anime phase began when I was 14 and found b gata h kai and omamori himari on youtube.

I and my friend suddenly started talking about how we both had watched avatar, so we rewatched that together. which got me into the cartoonish style of things again. then my other friend had watched all of naruto, and I decided to check it out, and that's how I got into anime. This was in March 2020 I believe.

I started watching anime around in 2017 or 2018 and just grinded all the netflix videos until I learned that there were much more animes out there than just the ones on netflix. So I began watching anime on pirated sites like 9anime, gogoanime, and etc. But I didn't discover MAL until april this year. And so I just listed and rated all the animes i could remember finishing or not finishing for like 5 hours until I started listing ptw animes.

Technically I started when I was six, waking up early to catch episode reruns of Saint Seiya, Tokyo Mew Mew and Inuyasha on YTV at my grandparents' house. I thought they were "special big kid cartoons", and I was being so sneaky watching them either around 6am or waking up at 2 in the morning XD

I seriously started watching anime in high school, buying whatever was on sale (and looked appropriate) from HMV. It's where I came across the likes of Ouran High School Host Club, Nabari No Ou, Mushishi and xxxHolic. I also started on Studio Ghibli films, and movies related to series I recognized, whenever I could afford one off Amazon. I still own a copy of Fullmetal Alchemist the Movie: Conqueror of Shamballa (despite having only read the manga)!

i'm watching animes from very young age like naruto, fma etc. but i got into them around 2015 - my classmates were obsessed with d.gray man and made me watch it. it was one of the best anime experiences i've ever had!

The first time when I watched anime, was when i was borned in a hospital. My parents watched dragon ball z with nice ramen.

I grew up in Canada and every week, one channel on TV (YTV I think) would air anime all day on Saturdays. That was back in like 2000-2004 ish. I think Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, Dragon Ball Z, Full Metal Alchemist, Digimon, Naruto, and Inyuasha were some of the first I watched. Yu-Gi-Oh got realllllly big at my elementary school. During recess, EVERYONE would be trading the cards and dueling each other lol. It was quite epic.

Because I like to meet people, I started to use their hobbies as a way of communication, so when I first heard about anime and they had manga, I was skeptical to find a genre that I would like because I'm a fan of storytelling and that reading/ seeing it with emotions help me understand there point of views. As for example I personal love Slice of life or even Sports anime because the animation for those were amazing I like how the character grows and at least learned some life lessons that unfortunately doesn't come by nowadays

I know I used to watch dragon ball when I was little but I don't remember a whole lot so I technically started watching anime when I was around like 13 I think my first anime was either Negima! or high school of the dead.

When I was little I watched Pokemon. Didn't even know it was Anime. In 2017 I started AoT but never finished it. In 2018 I watched Yuri!!! on Ice and Kiss me Not Him. Sooo maybe like 2 years ago? :D

Since when I was like 4 , I watched things like Pokemon dragonball and didn't understand anything but just enjoyed it lol , slowly understood things better and watched more as time passed by

Welp I just can't remember when but, I watch anime ever since the mid part of Naruto back when I was a kid. And kinda wait every week for the DBZ and Yu-Gi-Oh.

Everything changed when i watched Angel Beats in 2015, i guess that was when i really "started watching anime"
i cant lie, i think i got addicted to the emotions, i never cried so much before..

I was super into the Pokemon anime. The first "real" anime I watched was My Hero Academia but I didn't start watching alot of anime until I saw Erased.

I started watching anime in 2005, I was 5 years old that time and my earliest memory. (Mostly just Tagalog Dub bcoz it's the only thing available for me that time) Then I took a break year 2014 because I was hooked up in kdrama and kpop and watched again last 2018

I started watching anime in 2019, but I fell away from it because of my crazy-busy schedule. I picked it up the following year, 2020, because basically nothing was happening that year and I was at home all the time.
Unfortunately for me, things started to pick up again in 2021, and my opportunities to watch anime became lesser and lesser because I started doing marching band, school, and taekwondo (I don't do taekwondo anymore) again.
I don't want to fall away from this hobby again, so I have been reading manga and watching anime at every moment that I can spare. This explains why my list is very short at the moment.

late 2017 as my brother forced me to watch JoJo and i really like it and got hooked and binged watch it and many other anime's and so on.
