Maybe but madhouse kicked it out of the park with there adaptation and its not even that old I don't see a need for a reboot for atleast another 20 years

The animation is already good enough. With better pacing in the second half, maybe it can surpass the original.

I mean , ehhh. I would watch it , cause it good. But its not that bad actually. Madhouse has done an amazing job already. Even if they did , i dont think we can let go of the original one. Even if the animations are god level , i would still prefer the old one. Cause its how i remember deathnote

Part of the reason I love this show is the mid 2000s vibe it gives off. Just like Fate 2006. I'd rather not see a remake.

Most series never get remakes and if they do, it's because their adaptations weren't good (fma and shaman king), so there really isn't a reason to do it with death note, especially with it being a very faithful adaptation. I'd be pissed actually if we got a death note remake over something like soul eater or rave master. There's no chance death note gets a remake because it doesn't need one.

The animation in Death Note is top-notch, there's such a slim chance that it'll surpass it, even if the animation was better, I doubt they could do all the stunning shots as good as it is here.

i would 100% watch it, because honestly death note looks and sounds a bit outdated, the animation wasn't anything crazy in it, but just because it doesn't have any fight scenes means that it should look mediocre? no, look at both seasons of the promised neverland, no fights but still looks so lively

Why would it be needed though? The anime adaptation is almost perfect already as it is with high quality animation, iconic scenes, music, etc. Also, I won't recognize any voice as Light other than Miyano Mamoru.

I think that's just the type of new gen anime. Look at Tokyo ghoul for example, it's a dark anime and the animation fits well so I imagine it could work for dn

Animation in Death Note was never one of it's shortcomings.It had seemingly fluod animations with just the right tones of dim moodiness.And Death Note being such a masterpiece,the new series will have GIGANTIC shoes to fill

I think they could possibly do better than the original if they kept the same dark artstyle, but cut out the last 12 episodes and improve the animation (not that the original death note animation was bad).

Yes, but only if a few conditions were met, such as the original cast returning, better animation that's actually consistent throughout the series, and having all scenes from the manga adapted into the reboot; it always bugged me that the assault on Mello's hideout by the US special forces never happened in the anime, and that the ending of the series was changed drastically in the final episode.

Why should Death Note get rebooted? This is not a great series or even a masterpiece from its source material itself worth remembering
