I just finished Promised Neverland. And they massacred a possibly great show. They rushed 100+ manga chapters in 11 episodes and ended the show with a powerpoint of important plot lines. While they were rushing stuff they put nearly 2 minutes of intros and 1+ minute outros making it something like a 18-19 min episodes. It is Tokyo Ghoul all over again.
Anyways in late 2019 I went to Japan. And Akiba was still filled with Rem and Emilia. That made me scared when they announced season 2 of re zero. Maybe they just want to grab some more money. And whitefox isn't best known for long series with lots of season. I immediately thought they are gonna rush somethings... But studio decided: we are not gonna rush things. 30 Min episodes no intros no outros.... They felt to meet cool AF. These kind of things happen sometimes in an episode or two in some animes. But this happened nearly all the Episodes of part 2. If whitefox go with this mentality as a part of the fan base I think we should say thank you. What do you guys think?

I wish they played the OP/ED more since I really liked them but the content was good so I didn't mind

I binged the entire season. I honestly thought, at first, they were an hour long when watching, I was so entranced with each episode; I had to check the timer. 30 min episodes were absolutely perfect.

30 minutes plus no intros or endings on most episodes, it's like they didn't want to waste a single moment not advancing the story. You gotta admire the dedication there.

It's great that they are willing to forgo normal episode lengths but I think it is was done better in Season 2 part 1

Absolutely agreed, I am so glad I decided to wait for this to end first then binge it. I'm both surprised and grateful that they decided to do this, giving us 30 minute episodes with no intro or ending. On top of that, every episode is so engaging it felt like the usual 20 minute episodes.
